Wow ! I won't forget this moment in my life..Last Saturday I went to a movie. This is the second time I went for this movie..I already said this too in my previous discussion that I'm going to watch the Movie Madrasapatinam....
The day came and I was eagerly waiting for it..I slept in the saturday afternoon and was getting ready to go..Since I slept , I don't know that it is raining heavily...When I got ready and came out..I got shocked..It was raining like anything..No one was there in the streets..The show starts at 7:15 P.M..My parents told not to go as it was raining heavily..I said I booked so no way..I can't miss this movie..They didn't say anything and it was 6:15 already...I started my bike and it was very dark..I went some few meters and I became totally wet even though I was wearing my jerkin..I stopped and went inside to a nearby shop..Since there is no glass in my helmet water was hitting face very badly..I not able to drive at all..I was very sad.because I really can't able to drive and it was water all the way..Then I decided to go and said to myself lets see what is happening...
My bike skidded two times..but I luckily escaped..and I reached the theatre and sat and the title is shown...I was shivering like anything as there is an AC..Then my friend gave his jerkin and I felt somewhat better..We all clapped after the movie got over , since it is a great movie..
Then I saw my purse , all my money gone wet..There is no petrol in bike too..Then my friend came with his bike and gave some money for petrol..Then I reached home at 12 i think..
I will never forget this..Really it is very difficult to drive in heavy rain..but I enjoyed it..
have you experienced anything like this..? Have you driven bike in heavy rain...?
And I again booked for that movie ? I hope it won't rain like before...

Let's hope for better weather for the next showing.
I have driven in my automobile in heavy rains. Once it was raining so hard that I could not see anything in front of me. So I stopped on the side of the road and waited for the rain to subside. Thankfully it subsided shortly after and was able to drive home. I was out of town on the highway. I have had my share of bad and dangerous weather. Prudence has paid off.
Glad you're ok!

Ya..now the climate looks good here..So i think there will be no rainfall like before..So I can enjoy the movie..
Yes it was very difficult for me too to drive..I can't see clearly who is coming..In the same day when I was on the way to theatre..a bike came in front of me..I didn't notice that because he didn't have a head light in his bike..Already it is nothing visible..when we both came near..I got shocked and I though it is over but he made a cut and went..We both escaped luckily..
It is always risk driving in rain..

Wow! You were keen to see that movie again weren't you my friend! Good for you!
As for me, I don't think I've experienced rain like you describe because when it rains in India..it rains, do you know what I mean?
However, I have been caught out in the rain many times on my bicycle...usually on the way home from work in Blackpool, England, where I used to live. Because it is on the coast it is windy very often and the combination of wind and rain isn't very nice, let me tell you, especially when the rain drops into my eyes, impairing my vision.
So I admire the fact you were able to get to see your favourite movie in the way you describe. I am full of admiration, I really am!

Sorry about that. What I mean is, when it rains in India it rains far more heavily than in the United Kingdom so to compare the two wouldn't be fair. Our heavy rain is like a light shower compared to your heavy rain, which is more like a monsoon.
I hope I haven't confused you even more after that!

No way. I'd stay home, or if I absolutely, positively needed to go out, I'd take the car.

I don't like going out in anything heavier than a sprinkle, so I would have stayed home!

A couple of weeks ago, when it was pouring rain and pea sized hail (with the occasional grape sized hail stone), so thick that you couldn't 50 meters ahead, I went right out into it. It felt great; it was sort of like I was swimming in the air, because the heavy wind and rain offered as much resistance as a pool of water. The hail didn't even bother me that much, because it was kind of like a game, to see when and wear you would be hit with hail; one left a pretty nice bump on my head, but, it was all worth it. :D

It was just a little bit of pea sized hail, with the occasional grape sized one, no big deal, haha. It was very refereshing, because it was very hot out that day, and when the storm broke out it was great.

I remember two years ago when me and my boyfriend was still a new time. He picked me up from work, although its quite dark by then and rain will come in any moment. We didn't had second thoughts and left for our destination. Heavy rain went pouring in although i was loving every minute of it he was the opposite because he was the one driving the motor bike and sitting in front. So the rains and wind kept on hitting him. We end up laughing in bed after remembering what we have gone through just to have a private moment with one another. :)

I never drove a motor bike, but I have driven cars in very heavy rain, and walked in it too. When it is hot in the desert sometimes it is fun to go out in the occasional sudden rainstorms although one must watch out for lightning. My classmate was killed by lightning riding his bicycle when a storm came up unexpectedly. He had just been admitted to a prestigious university and did not live to attend. What a waste!

i went to an open ground gig last 2006 while it was raining heavily. the rain didn't stop until the gig ended by 4am, although not as heavy as when it started. last 2008 we were to climb a mountain in a local town while there was a storm. we were to back out from the plan until we decided to bathe under the rain and when we saw the mountain we were supposed to climb we just couldn't resist it. however, when along the way the wind blew really hard and we couldn't stand against the rain any longer (damn, it's cold out there. hahaha), so at the first stop (or like camp site) we decided to go back.^_^ it seems like you don't really think of the danger when you were with a lot of people doing things you wanted to do.

Just riding my bike circling our subdivision and enjoying the heavy rains.
I love to play in the rain like i used to do when i was a kid.
I love rain,i love to drenched in rain when i am sad it gives me joy and can cheer me up.

Well,I have sa similar experience. I was 8 years old then but how can I ever forget that dreadful experience.
It was during a typhoon named Undang with signal no. 4. The weather was quite fine early in the morning but at noon it became dark. Wind was gushing and there were rain shower. It became worse. The house was surrounded by trees and the sounds they made was eerie. As if somebody was trying to pull them out of there roots. The wind was terrible too and the rain started to pour out of cats and dogs. Lightning struck and the surrounding was dark.
My father thought it was wise to move out of our house for it might not withstand the typhoon. So, we bravely went out of angry storm and headed towards my grandparents house. We were fortunate to survived the storm and reached the house safe..

That was foolish on your part..
On last day of my college exams it was raining heavily.I finished the exams but still it was drizzling, so I started to go home.On the way to home it started pouring heavily so I took a shelter in a shop.Waited there for about an hour but rain didnt stop so I decided to go home in that heavy rain.. As my exams were over so I dont care if I fall ill..
