Are you happy with your job?

I am. Although I don't earn as big, I'm satisfied. I can go to work anytime. I can have a day off anytime. I can go to work wearing any comfy clothes I prefer. I can eat, listen to music and even watch a video while working. I think it's really cool. Are you happy with your job?

Frankly speaking, I am not happy with my job recently. I earn big because of this job but you are also pressured from different people around you. I work in a 5 star hotel so it is very difficult to face the pace of your work. There's a pressure from our guest because if they are not satisfied with our service they will complain to the management. Another, the receptions! When they need rooms if it is not ready they will call you to send the roomboy immediately and finished cleaning with in 15 minutes because the guest is already in the lobby. The most of all your boss, they always pushing you to work beyond your capacity because they think the guest satisfaction index which will reflect our monthly ratings to all 1,000 sister hotels worldwide. Sometimes, I am going crazy.

There's a changes lately, not only pressured I am also tired because of lack of time to relax. Imagine almost 6 months already no daysoff and render overtime everyday. The pressure is lesser than before, new Boss we have now. Our old Boss was resigned and transferred to another hotel.

I used to love my job because its flexible and not that much demanding. But with our growing family and needs my current salary can barely make ends meet even with my husband's salary. We do now need to find other company and hopefully we'll get lucky.

I hope you do get lucky. I find it very hard to support my family as well in these tough times. I hope in the future that I dont have to choose between food and paying bills. That would become really scary.

I am stay at home wife. I have not had any success finding any work and it is driving me crazy. My husband works parttime and it has been a struggle. My husband's boss does not seem to care at all. His boss told him the other day to get a cell phone because it is a job requirement. My husband told his boss that we cannot afford a cell phone right now and if you want me to have one so badly why doesn't the company pay for one. My husband said, you know it is more important that my wife and I have a roof over our heads, food on the table and clothes to wear. Having a cell phone is a luxury and it is not one we can afford. I am hoping to sell some of my crafts soon and make some money that way. I am also looking to being a teacher's aid. I will be starting grad school in September which will help.

I am happy with my job now. I don't know whether my income a month around 3.5 million rupiahs ($350) categorized as big salary or not but I am happy with that even though sometimes that amount is not enough for me. I think it's natural if we want more. Overall, I satisfy since I have good kind boss, I can access mylot in working hours and have good co-worker. As you know, I am one of staff in government office. In my country, especially in my regency, it's very hard to get job in government office now. We need to pay at least 150 million rupiahs ($15,000). I am happy since I don't spent a dime for that four years ago.

I like the job I do but unfortunately it will be ending soon. I am trying to use this coming time as an opportunity to learn something new and do something that I may be more passionate about.

It pays the bills, but for interest and other rewards it scores low. It's also a poor work/ life balance.

Yes i like my job. It's hard to say i'm happy, but i earn good, this is why i feel good. And it's good when i can decide how many hours to work, when to take a rest. I don't like the outside working culture, for outfit, formality and boss rules. This is why i found something good for earning, but i don't know how long it will be that way. So i plan to do something by myself, what will help me earn in future. This online job is not for whole life :)

Then good for you! Being happy with your job is one key to success. I am happy with my job, I'm an instructor in a vocational school. The pay is low but the experience is the reward.

I wouldn't say I am completely happy with my job. There are surely good days and bad days. Although I do have the same 'benefits' of being able to come in and work anytime; being able to get a dayoff anytime; and being able to wear what I want, etc., there are days where the pressure is just too much. When it does, I just go visit suppliers. I find that it relieves the pressure of being in the office all the time.
