I was out for a while here in mylot, a week or two I suppose. Now, when I come back, there were numbers of unread replies on my discussions. I find it tiring to reply them all, but I think I have to since they made some effort on replying on my discussion.
You guys, do you reply on all of your comments in your discussion?

well. attente. now a days i am irregular here in mylot due to overload of study. hence when i open it i have found too more new responses. so, i am busy in commenting here. i think this is our first duty to comment to responses coz of their dedications of time and wordings. have a nice day.

I couldn't agree more shibham! they have done their part, that is replying on our discussions, so to be fair and to let them know that their replies are valued, we really have to do our part, that is replying to them. It might be tiring because you find many unreplied comments after a day but we can do it slowly. thank you! be blessed! :)

hi~
i always reply to those who answer my discussions. i feel like i have too.
if i don't, it won't be a 'discussion' now would it? it will only be some sort of question and answer thing...
anyway, i think that if you reply, and they answer back, then you create a 'discussion' or a conversation between the two of you~

I think posting your comments proves that you in fact read the responses submitted by the respondents and when you comment on those responses, you are acknowledging their responses. I make it a point to post my comments on responses received, in response to my discussions. I skip those responses, which are in a way not connected with the the core issue of a discussion.

attente!
My name is not complicated. Dpk is shorter version of my real name and others are random numbers added to it, unintentionally. It is good that you have learnt the art of dropping comments on the responses.

Hi dpk252006, what a complicated name. hehe. Anyway, yes I make sure to drop a comment to the responses on my discussion as a respect to them. Haven't encountered a response that is not connected to my discussion, if I do, I think I'll do the same (skipping).. But I do experienced of receiving a response that were posted 2 or three times, I just reply them once. be blessed dpk2602006!

Good to see you back attente!
Yes I comment to all of the responses that my discussions receive. It's never too late to comment to them so if I can't get back to them immediately then I do so as soon as I am back on here again.
All except two of my discusssions are up to date with and all of the responses have comments. The other two I stopped commenting due to personal reasons concerning the topic itself.
If you leave them unattended you might find that those who responded will not appear on your next discussions. Wait before starting a new topic and concentrate on catching up. Those discussions might even receive new responses because new activity will cause them to come to the top of the lists again.

This is a discussion site and also it will earn you if you put your comments on the responses that you have received. Instead of putting up new topics or responding to other discussions it is better if you commented as comments also attract earnings.

Yeah right, I started the discussion so I really have to respect those people who responded on my discussions. Respecting them means replying to their comments. This wouldn't be considered as discussion if only one people talk right? fortunately, I able to reply on my comments. be blessed! :)

I would try to reply to all the comments. Even if when I read it I have nothing to say, I would come back to it another time and try to comment back, sometimes as late as one or two weeks later. I find it useful for keeping the discussion going. I also feel eager to check for comments on my responses to others' topics, so I hope I hear something from you soon. Nah, just joking...this is not obligatory...
Cheers

Hahah! you're funny bluemoon! well now I feel like i'm obliged to reply on your comments. lol, just kidding! Well I am really the type of person who would reply to all the comments on my discussion. I feel like I have to do my part by replying to them. You guys made an effort replying on my discussions so I think I also have to do my part and that is to reply.. My reply would not only make you feel that your comments are valued but also, my earning will increase!! be blessed! :)

I feel the same way but I reply not really out of obligation. I thought that was a way of repaying people for their effort to leave a comment. By replying, we are encouraging them to comment back and thus both of us can earn. It's a win-win situation.

When my health permits I comment on replies made to my discussions. I also reply to as many discussions started as possible. There are though long stretches of time where my health will not allow me to be active on MyLot at all, so people will just have to be understanding of that.
-
People do have obligations, health issues, and people needing attention that can cause them to be inattentive to your discussions that do not reflect badly on your writing. If you want more people than just the select few friends you've made here to note your writing, use key words. Here are a few:
writing, people, writing style, contacts, health, inattentive, discussions, life, members

Hi craftyowner! thanks for the advice. Well, if given enough time, I would like to reply to all of their comments.. They made some effort on dropping a comment on my discussion, so I think I have to do my part. But since, there are hundreds of unreplied comments, I'll do it slowly by slowly.. ehhe. thank you again newly found friend! be blessed! :)

It's all up to u!! U wont be the first, not to respond to those replies u got.. Alot of mylotters are just that lazy too!! lol =D They tend to start tons and tons of discussions, but never ever seem to find time, for commenting back on our responds.. lol =D
BUt what can respondents do?? At most, we skip their post and delete them from our friend's list.. lol =D One such example is cream97.. lol =D

Did you delete cream97 from your list? toinkkssss!! HAHHA! what happened? Well fortunately, I able to reply all of the comments here in my discussions. It took me days actually to respond them all.. It was very tiring but I think I really have to respond to them, they might think that their comments aren't valued if I left them unresponded. Besides, I started the discussion, that won't be considered as discussion if only them would reply. hehe. be blessed!
hope you won't delete me from your list. lols. HAHHAHA! :))

I most certainly do comment on all the responses I receive, as it is only common courtesy to do so. I see a lot of discussions that get responses but no comments, which means they are just letting the discussion go, thinking that they earn for the responses they receive. They only earn for what they do and not what others do. I feel that when users are going to take the time to read my discussion and respond to it, then I am going to take the time to read their response and comment back. I like to keep my discussions going, and not just let them go. I know there are some that don't have the time to comment back, and that is fine, as they are probably busy at work. Once they do get the time, dtill don't comment back, and to me that is a waste of time to post a discussion in the first place if they aren't going to follow through at all. I don't start all that many, but I certainly do take the time to comment back. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

hi rosekiss!! sorry for the late reply, i got busy with my job. well i couldn't agree more! to be fair, as your friends make an effort on responding on your discussions, you really have to do your part, reply to them.. besides, this is a discussion, one has to reply.. mylot isn't all about earning money.. it is also about making friends and talking to them.. be blessed rosekiss! :)

I always make an effort to respond to each and every one of the comments on my discussions that I start. Sometimes it takes a while, but I always get there in the end.
I do not start a lot of discussions as lately I have had trouble keeping up with responding to all of those that have been started by friends. I also go through my old discussions and find ones that I was not the last post on from time to time as well. I then answer any unanswered questions that may be in them.

Hi rawbill! I do the same, I make sure to respond to all of them, though it really takes a while sometimes since I am busy with my job..
Also, I think I'll stop making lots of discussions. Instead, I can post comments on the discussions started by my friends. That's easier I think, and not that time consuming.. :)

Same here rawbill! have lots of stories to tell here in mylot, about the kidnapping here in our country, the blouse i bought in mall which i didn't expect to be soOoO expensive, about a girl emailing me and pretending to be in Africa and badly needs help, and a lot more!! Only that, I can't promise to respond to them immediately because I am really busy with my work.. So I'll just post those topics if I have the time and can make sure I can reply to them. be blessed rawbill!

I do plan on making more discussions as I always have ideas for them, just right now I do not feel that I would be doing my friends here justice as I would be too rushed in responding to them.

I was hired as an article writer but the guy no longer needs my services. I had tried data entry as well. It's much easier and I'm still waiting for my first payment but its not through there. I'm happy that you are contented with your job. I know that line of work is pretty boring and I get really sleepy sometimes.

Welcome to mylot
Same with me here, i have so many friends and i get lot of notifications from mylot about their discussions, it is never possible to reply to all, more over i may not like some of these or i may not have knowledge about what to answer..
you may reply, may not, it is not binding however..
Thanks for sharing.
Welcome always.
Cheers.

what I mean professor is the response your friends make on your discussion.. so it doesn't really mean their discussions.. so in my part, as your friends exert effort on responding on your discussion, to be fair, you really have to acknowledge them or thank them for sharing their ideas. right? be blessed! :)

Yes we all have our reasons for responding and not responding I suppose, I personally enjoy responding especially if I have started a discussion because as D stated in her response if you want people to respond you must give them the same courtesy.
I like responding much more as many times I find that before I reply I get very useful information that I can utilize in my own personal life, which has been very helpful to me.

hi parrot! sometimes, I ran out of words but I try my best to have some words and drop that comment with a reply so that the replier wouldn't think that his message is valued. hehe. sometimes, my replies for all of you do have the same thoughts, I am just trying to rephrase it so that you guys wouldn't think that I just copy-pasted my reply. hehe. be blessed!

Most of the time if it's a recent topic on MY mind... or something very recent I've posted and came back to later, I'll reply to it. Other times, I'll read them, but maybe not reply.
What I hate though is having to reply to the MEANER comments. Like if I talk about religion or something, people will leave horrible comments because they're atheist or something. I won't reply to the mean ones just to keep some peace on the internet.

Hi bloo!! I think we're on the same shoes.. If I think that person and I can't get along with a certain topic, say he kept on arguing my part, I remain silent.. I think it's better that way.. But as much as possible, I reply to all of the comments on my discussion. thank you bloo! be blessed! :)

Yes, I am really trying to entertain all those people
who come into my post....
But somehow. like you, when I am away, I leave all those replies..
and when I get back, I preferred to just read them...
and somehow i had just to post another topic asking thanks for those who came
in my previous topics....
Happy mylotting and God bless.

I rarely start a discussion since I am quite busy with my work. I am afraid that if ever I would start plenty discussions, I might not be able to respond to all of them. Most of what I do when I can go online here in mylot is reply to discussions started by friends and others. Well, I think it would be great for you to reply to those that have responded to your posts. As you have said, they have made effort to reply to yours so perhaps you can also do the same.

Hi jpso! I think I'll be doing what you're doing, that is, not posting so much discussions but reply to others'.. I am quite busy with my work now and I can't find enough time to reply on all of the comments on my discussion.. hehe.. Well, I think I really have to reply on their comments. That wouldn't be a discussion if I won't reply right? be blessed jpso! :)

I make it a point to comment on every response I receive because to me that is the whole point of creating a discussion and I think it is courteous to acknowledge people who have taken the time to reply to my topic. It does become hard work and that is why I don’t start more than one or two discussions a week. It is useful to know that we get paid more if we respond.

Hi paula! I couldn't agree more! If you won't reply on their comments, they might feel that you don't value their efforts on dropping you a comment. And probably, they'll just ignore your next posts.. As they did they're part, you also have to do your part. be blessed! :)
