In my country, women are crazy over skin-whitening products. They feel that they are less pretty if they are dark-skinned as compared to fair-skinned women. Do you share the same belief?

Are dark-skinned women less attractive than fair-skinned women? Absolutely not! I am white, with an Italian/Aboriginal background. I find dark skin to be beautiful- so smooth and flawless. It really is a shame that some women are using toxic products to try to lighten their skin just to fit into an image of what they think 'beauty' is.
Beauty is taking what you have and embracing it, making the most of it. I blame women's magazines and western civilisation's perception of mainstream beauty. Thankfully we are now seeing a wider range of beautiful women in magazines and on television. Women of all races, sizes and styles. It really is something that bothers me. Look at how many gorgeous, beautiful black women there are. There's Tyra Banks, Naomi Campbell, Halle Berry, Rhianna and the list goes on. You are beautiful no matter what colour your skin is.
