Yawn.... Have you ever been so bored that absolutely nothing is interesting?

hmm have you ever been so bored that absolutely everything and anything is utterly uninteresting? Well this is how I felt today. The television, the internet, music and people were just completely uninteresting today. I have no clue I was so un-motivated by the boredom that I couldn't even do my normal earning money routine. I decided to take my exercising outdoors today and oh my gosh I had to cut my routine short as I just could not find the motivation, if you knew me you'd know that if I don't exercise there is something wrong. Has this ever happen to you where you are just so bored that you can't even function?

Hi HWG! Yes I get bored like that sometimes. I can't even function when I get like that. I just cannot get motivated. There are days when I can't seem to make myself do anything. I'm glad I don't get those bored spells too often.

Hi PointlessQuestions Gosh yes I have my days like this, though I must admit that when I posted this 11 months ago, I was just starting out to venture out on the net. I was feeling like nothing was interesting at all. No matter what I attempted to do it was like nothing was appealing. Thankfully I don't have them too often, as keeping busy seems to be what I have doing all the time now. But yes there are times when it gets so boring that even taking a nap does not help. I am glad the weather is finally warm a bit too warm, but at least I can go across where I live as there is a very nice park where I can sit and just breath a bit of out doors. Thanks so much for responding.

Hey hwg! We all have days like that. I get like that sometimes too. There are just days that I don't want to do anything at all. I find that I have no patience to watch tv much at all anymore. I'd much rather be here mylotting or reading news online or just reading a book! I have been reading alot lately and going through one book after another and really enjoying myself. I stay up all night reading lately and love it! Murder mysteries are my favorites!

Interesting and coincidentally. I have been so out of it these days that today I shut down the pc and got out!!! Went to visit a long time friend that I have not seen in a very long time. She was so comforting and lead me to her book gallery. Wow did not know someone could have so many books like her. Anyway she pulled out a variety of books and audio tapes and told me to get to reading. She stated I need to start reading as too much of what I have been trying to do lately has not worked for me. She is too funny, said she was going to call me and quiz me on the books. LOL I was stressful to have to speak to someone about what is bugging me but at the same time she was so very comforting so it was an a ok day. Thanks for respnding have a wonderful night.

Yeah, I remember I used to like reading a lot. I guess I still do, but often it inspires me to write more and/or 'perform' (record readings) more, and those always seem to take more time than I have ... time that I COULD be reading!

Hi sql_cell Boredom comes and goes and though I can't take a nap too often as I get headaches after naps. I tend to take walks a bit more so that the outside air and or people keep me distracted. I hope all goes well for you. Thanks for the response.

Hi Hardworkinggurl. Yes i felt many a times in my life like that, even yesterday i feels very bored and not interested to go for job also. I am usually in busy schedule officially. But yesterday morning i felt a laziness & also i cancelled all my programs and just sit in front of my laptop and started to participate in this place. Then i listened some of my favorite musics in the evening and now i am OK.. But still i can't find the reason that why i was being like this sometimes.

Hi blaji85in Yes there were many of times I have had this feeling and my best remedy was to lay down and take a nap. Sometimes when I have several ongoing issues at times nothing gets me going and somehow I draw to the boredom side. I do recall this day way back when I started this topic and was experiencing something really awful online. I am glad that feeling has dissipated somewhat as each and everyday I felt like I could not function. Thanks so much for responding.

The time when nothing interests me is the time when i am under stress.Only during stressed time i find nothing can help to make me feel good. As far as boredom is concerned i go out on biking to get rid of boredom or i go to some friend.

Hi Humanicon Yes boredom usually can hit when one is full of stress and or tension as one cannot concentrate on doing much. I usually find a nice walk around the nice park I have across the street to be helpful for me. I do enjoy watching the kids play baseball and the smiles and cheers certainly help momentarily bring down my stress levels. Thanks for responding.

Been there done that many times, and still lived to tell about it until the next time. Last night at work was definately one of those days. It was so BORING and it felt like the night was never going to end. When you do not want to be somewhere that you have no choice in, it can make it interesting. Will be glad when I can update my phone to the HTC that I want so then I can at least myLot while at work.

Hi dear sweet Tina Gosh yes that would be so good for you as this way you will have a bit more entertainment and shhh some earnings too. lol Yeah there are times I can get so bored out of my wits that I will either go for a walk and or lay down. Though I have found myself way too busy lately as I have been trying to get A job. I am having such a tough time lately because most employers are saying I am way too over-qualified. While I know it is the economy so to speak but I have lowered and plummeted to the lowest just to get any job and thus far no such luck.

Opps! it seems like my response is long over due. Anyways, I would comment still. lol. This kind of feeling is normal. It is linked with our hormonal changes. We get bored as if everything would appear uninteresting. We sometimes feel hyper too. I have not experienced this only once. Our moods change every time.

hi my dear friend, i just love your name, its soo cute. dont ask about been bore. my life is so bor that i have no words to write because if you look me, it is so self explanatory that you will not at all need to ask or me to tell you how i am , i mean how bore i am. now there is nothing left in my life. i am staying in because i have to , and i have to because we have a daughter, i dont want to ruin her life. i hav done with my life. i have seen everything, what so ever possible, i have seen and did and enjoyed. now at this point of time, at this i am so bored, so not even bored, so sick of my life that i want to run away. but i cant. i have a responsibility. i cannot turn my back to her. i am fully domesticated because i want to give my full and all to her. i dont even go to gym because i cannot leave her with anyone. so i am more frustrated, looking my self everyday, adding inches all over . it is so frustrating and i am so bored now, that i hardly even talk . i donnt even talk much to my hubby. it is just the need of or for something that i talk, otherwise it is just a situation that i am in , and i cannot move out , so have to be in , be it whatever.

Hi Aweins I am sorry to hear that life is not going the way you would like. This sad and I truly wish that things do look up for you soon someday. I started this discussion almost a year ago and someone recently brought it back to life. I had lost my job and to date having a difficult time still to get back on my feet. Therefore, at time I find I am in ruts and not able to function. I think it is normal sometimes to be in a boring rut. Especially when life is not the way we thought it would be. I do hope that life gets better for you and hope your life with your daughter looks and turns out really great. Thanks for liking my name and for stopping by and responding.

Today actually. I realized that I spend most of my life in my kitchen. Either on my lap top or cooking or washing dishes or sorting laundry. In the evening I will go in the family room and watch TV for a while, and I also work out in the family room, but even the family room is attached to the kitchen, there is just a half wall dividing them. Then at night I go to my room and sleep, get up and come down stairs and spend most of my day in the kitchen again doing the same old thing every day. Today it got kind of intolerable. I went outside with the dog and threw frisbies for her for a while, but it is nearly 80 degrees and too hot to be outside very long. So I do know exactly what you mean, some days I can't get motivated either, I will have lots of great ideas for online articles, but nothing flows from my fingers or my mind.

Hi ladym Wow you surely are busy in the kitchen, and oh boy do I remember those days. I put up this discussion about a year ago and someone recently brought it back to life. I had then lost my long time job and still to date having a hard time getting back on my feet. I back then was having a difficult time being motivated and functioning as I was moping quite a bit wondering the why life was so tough and though I am not out of the woods yet I have ventured off into the net and feel now there is no time for boredom for me. I do get like you though were I do have lots of ideas and somehow they just do not materialize at times. Life should be better for a whole lot of us and I do hops so for you too as you have small children. Thanks for responding.

I often feel bored. Everything is not interesting, and very lazy to do any activity. The same job and so much made me very tired. At times like this, I would be very confused and very depressed, because inevitably I had to do all the work, although I'm not very keen to do it.

Hi bingskee, I posted this discussion about 11 months ago. It was when I was not a internet user much at all at the time. lol Therefore, being that I was unemployed I ventured off in to the internet world thereafter and let's just say I have yet to have a boring moment.

Yes, it often happens to me. Just feel tired to do everything, tired to surf the net, tired to study, tired to work, tired to eat even tired to live! I don't know why, but sometimes I fall into groundless depression suddenly and lose all the interest in life.

Thanks for responding, yes I do believe it is depression, as eating has been uninteresting also. So how do you overcome these bumps as they occur?

Hi soccerbai123 Yes sleep and or a nap usually will get ones mind occupied. lol.. I find that when I get a bit on bored side a walk around the park, across the street from me is the best solution, given the weather permits. This discussion was started about 11 months ago when I first started out on the internet. Back then I had a great deal of time on my hands and now can't seem to have enough time to slow down. lol

One of the best thing to do when getting bored is to get as close as to the nature as possible. There are lots of beaches, waterfalls, green trees and plants that helps to reduce the boredom and makes us fun. When I get bored, I go to places like beaches or museum to reduce the boredom. I think it is fun to have food also once in a while. I think the more we spend indoors the more bore we get in our life.

I also have days that I feel like doing nothing. I usually end up on my bed, face down and would end up falling asleep. Though is sometimes irritates me to feel bored and useless, this times proves to be good time for me to de-stress. Escape from the harsh reality of life and the world and just stop and do nothing, take a breathe and just chill.

I completely understand I feel so out of it also that even being in my own skin these days has become very irritating. I try to lay down and take a nap but instead my brain wonders in may directions and it drives me nuts. Maybe there will be better days ahead, I sure do look forward to them. Good luck to you and thanks for responding. Have a great weekend.

I have had way too many days like this and going to sleep each time would mean I would not have much to look forward to. I do agree that when I get this restless I find some comfort in taking a nap, although when I try sometimes my brain goes into too many directions causing me to go nuts with thoughts. Cheers to all of us for better days.

I've had those days and I always just lay down in bed. It annoys me when I get that bored and then become lazy because then I feel like I'm wasting away my life. I'm kind of glad I found mylot because it's fun and you earn money but there are days where I really don't feel like going on the internet or watching television or doing my favorite things. I really do not know how to deal with my boredom I just want it to be gone and never come back into my life.
