Please comment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well one always does like having responses on their discussions, but now I don't really post up discussions as much as I used too. I just put some up from time to time to see how many mylot users respond it's always interesting seeing how many people will post well have a nice day.

I think before starting a discussion you should think of a topic that can attract lot of people to comment on it. Then your fear will not be a worry. Moreover mylot pay for posts not for the reply you get on post.

This is where you need to be aware...the above response to your discussion has nothing to do with your discussion. It's off topic. That's a big no-no. Try and make your discussions of general interest by choosing an interest that lots of people can relate to. Have a look at all the interests and find something you are really interested in and write something about it in such a way that others will want to offer an opinion...it could be a positive or a negative opinion of course. It's really not necessary to wish people "happy mylotting" and such things. I for one find those sentiments really annoying. It will be easier once you reach the stage where you can use an emoticon...they are fun.

Hi Terrencehenry, I think commenting and not commenting on a topic totally depends upon the users.you cannot force them to do so.But if you discuss on an interesting topic that interests many people then surely the mylotters will comment and if you respond to each and every comment that you receive then the person who commented would be happy and comment on your next discussions too. happy mylotting and have a nice day :)

Well i think it happens that even a nice topic dosent get response but this is bound to happen , slowly when we are active make better comments and we make friends , we get noticed and comments start coming.One should try to make good topic and if response dosent come ,well hard luck or may be topic was not good enough for people to comment .This is my personal thinking though i may be wrong .But nice point you have raised mate .

I understand you, my friend. But, do you respond to the posts your driends start? I have a friendship (a real one) with some mylotters because we have responded many times to each other´s posts that we got to know many things about the other. I don´t repond to earn: I do it because I am meeting new friends here. I know you are my friend: I accepted you as a friend. But we don´t know each other yet. Time will say if we will become real friends. Right now I answered one of your posts. Have you answered any of mine? Happy posting!!!

I am lucky enough that I don't have zero responses to any of my discussions, which is a good thing. Now, I haven't always got as many responses as I hoped, and other times I get more than I anticipated. It is disappointing to star a discussion, and not get all that much response, but it all depends on the content and how interesting it is for others to want to respond to it. I certainly don't worry about how many responses I am going to get, because I realize that if I don't get all that many, it is because it just wasn't interesting enough, but I do try to do better the next time. It doesn't always happen, but I am still going to hang in here. I really haven't started all that many discussions, because I have a hard time thinking of a topic to even discuss. I find it much easier to just respond, and sometimes in doing that, I will think of a discussion topic. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

andd now you are warming up. :-) You see, you've got mylotters responding here.:-) It may be disappointing and sometimes could be frustrating to know that no one ever paid attention or interest to the discussion you posted but why worry so much about it? Maybe it is not you but the kind of topic that you discussed.Not the right one at the right time.Even if you posted a right topic (the one you think that most interesting to most mylotters) but you posted it on the wrong time(maybe on a weekend where most of us spend time with family), you won't be getting much responses. As for your earnings, comment or reply to other discussions.Do tasks and use the search engine .

you should never fear for anything. just pick a discussion, be honest and informative enough to let other people know what is really in your mind. don't be discouraged if you get few replies or comments. just express your ideas and feel free...

Hi Terrencehenry, most writers want their work read and so feeling disappointed when readers don't respond is a normal response. Like one of the other respondents advized, find more interests related topics and you will find more readers interested. And most important, don't give up, life is full of experiences to share so you have plenty to right about.

Woooohh! that was a demanding DEMAND... well here's my comment...you got to comment too....Hope I am not one of the reasons for you to have those "no comments" nightmares...

I think a number of factors fall into people commenting on discussions or the lack there of. Factor number one would be having friends that are active here at mylot, most mylot friends will tell you they answer friends discussions first. Second would be the type of discussions you start, if you start discussions that are started in interests that don't have a lot of people in them, then they aren't as popular and therefore, people have little interest or knowledge. Third could be the time of day you start your topic. A few suggestions try getting some active friends, or friends that have been around for a little while. Remember to interact with others so they see you around. Start discussions that are in interests that have lots of members. Time of discussions started will have to be a trial and error learning session. As Mykl said you only earn for what you type, so after starting a discussion go and respond to your friends, chances are they will see you and will come and respond back and maybe will check out your discussions. Remember to have fun here and you will be rewarded for your efforts. Happy Mylotting!!!
