I really hate everytime my internet connection slows down. It takes me a lot of time to do my stuffs, surfing, dowloading, uploading, etc.. It's very irritating, my internet coonection is prepaid so most of the time my money go to waste for the approximate time that i have used my internet was about 3 hours but what I've spend was about 5 hours. For 2 hours computed for unused internet due to very slow dowloading of links. Now I'm thinking I better switch to postpaid plans, is this better? Is postpaid plan internet connections better than prepaid?

Do you use to download anything in torrent or somewhere else while accessing the net ? It slows down heavily. If not then there might be some other issue. I had faced some problem with slow net connections. The wire, broadband cable were torn and there were several problems which slowed down my net speed and sometimes some other issues used to stop me accessing. I couldn't connect to the net then. But now, I am free with all this sort of problems. Sometimes, while uploading photos or something else it takes a bit more time and sometimes during downloading too. I use to stop pause the downloading in the torrent while accessing net. I monthly pay the bill along with telephone bill, I am quite satisfied with this net connection. I wished I had 3G net connection but it will bear me heavy charges which I am not interested. Hope later the charge will be reduced and I can get that 3G net connection.

Hello gracielle I understand you are using globe tattoo and I presume you are spending more than a thousand pesos a month in load, right? So why don't you upgrade to broadband connection, also Globe as your IP. It is quite cheaper than your prepaid. Check it out with Globe. If you choose PLDT myDSL, it will be more expensive than Globe's, with the same speed. Yeah, slow internet connection is quite irritating. Sometimes you feel sleepy already and your pc cannot get connected yet.

gracielle I do not know abut postpaid or prepaid plans but I have time warner cable for my internet, jackrabbit plan for 38 dollars a month and its super fast and I pay monthly from my mylot earnings. also time warner cable company has a whole lot of different plans so you may find a cheaper package than mine.so mine is neither prepaid or postpaid whatever that really means. I just pay each month as I get the bill and my mylot earnings in PayPal so I move them to my bank, make out a check send it and am paid for a month.

Hey Hatley! How are you buddy? Based from the feedback stated above, it simply describes that you have a postpaid account with Time Warner cable which means you use the service first before paying it. Prepaid means pay first before you use the service and I don't think ISP's from the US doesn't offer any prepaid service yet. As I have mentioned from my previous feedback, I have a postpaid account with Wi-Tribe 4G Technology and I am completely satisfied with my speed right now same as you do buddy. :)

I so hate the slow connection of my smartbro wireless broadband at home so out of my frustration, I wrote this article: http://hubpages.com/hub/SMART-BRO-WIRELESS-BROADBAND-IS-A-BIG-DISAPPOINTMENT. To my surprise, I read many respondents having the same problem with SmartBro. Now dear if you are having problem with your prepaid, don't you ever commit the mistake of subscribing to SmartBro unless you have a valid proof from friends that this ISP is working well in your place.

PLDT myDSL has a more stable speed that the wireless ones. But I can't guarantee very fast connection. It will all depend on the kind of subscription you will choose. They have different packages just look at them and see which would be the best for your particular need.

Too bad for you of having no options but to stick with your internet connection dilemma. Maybe if you have money try to find ways & gadgets to make it faster.

OH yessss! I DO agree with you! I think that my internet connection is the lowest in this world! I use my mobile in order to have internet connection, and I cannot describe you how slow it is. I wait for a page to be uploaded for about 2-3 minutes, sometimes more. I have NEVER tried to download anything, it will take a moth, for sure.

I use the internet at work for free and use the broadband network unlimitted, if only as necessary in my house alone in using the internet because the cost is quite expensive for me

Does your company allows employees to use internet connections even in office hours? Or maybe your job was an internet cafe employee. That's why you can surf all you want when you want for no cost. Well whatever the reason was, good for you. You get to surf for free. You can save a lot of money.

Dear friend, Here in our place there are singal towers those connection near to these towers could give a better speed. Moreover if one pays accordingly the speed too would too be high. It depends upon the place or scheme that each internet providers provide. Still at some remote areas it seem to be slow internet connections

I do not like slow internet connections at all so I'm glad that my internet nolonger goes slow it depends from what company you get your internet from really. Also the spped of the computer or internet depends if you are taking care of it you know like having an anti virus program up or something to protect you from all those viruses out there that tend to slow down the internet a lot. Remember to keep your computer nice and clean because then it will perform much better like clearing your cookies, history, and etc. I never was a big fan of slow internet and that's why I started to take better care of my computer to not get problems like this anymore and so I could enjoy the internet and not be getting irritated for it going so slow and wasting my time. Do what you think is best if you feel like you have to make the switch then make the swith to a postpaid plan internet connection anything to make it go faster because I know how annoying that can be. If you feel like you are throwing away your money then that right there is telling you something. I wish you the best on luck on getting your internet connection to speed up.

well with that connection for pre paid I suggest you go on post paid. But I think speed, downloading etc would still be the same, You will only get cheaper expenses.

Not really... There are times that it's so slow, but someday it's fast... Signal fluctuates... I think this still have not been resolve by all providers... And speaking of their online help specially their hotline representative... they don't know how to answer calls, can't give us a clear answer for our concerns... But postpaid could be cheaper than prepaid I assume.

That is a very sad story. I never planned to have a prepaid connection for my laptop especially when you spend most of your time on the internet doing a lot of stuffs. I am paying php999 for my ISP and I am completely satisfied with the speed and so with their service. You can do simple mathematics with this one whether or not to have a postpaid or a prepaid account. I am saving a lot of money because of having a postpaid instead of a prepaid account.

It's better to use the DSL plan it's fast, their are times slow but DSL is very reliable to use. Postpaid or prepaid is very convenient to use and it was handy to use but the sad part about this is the signal is very low the connection is slower.

I have a wireless internet connection, and it is very slow sometimes. If I just want to surf and look at different sites, it is not so bad, but when I want to upload or download something it is very slow. Sometimes I am not able to watch videos on Youtube or similar sites, because my connection is so slow. I live in the countryside, that is one of the reasons why my internet connection is quite bad, the other reasons that it isn't the most expensive one.

Yeah, I also hate slow internet connection. In Indonesia at the 90s we only have one internet provider, which was owned by the state owned company and use dial up connection. I used it and it's really painful using it since it's very very slow. Nowadays there are a lot of internet providers and I think the state owned company one now is onf of the lamest provider out there. I use internet provider called First Media, it's 512 kbps and I pay around USD 20 for it every month. Very satisfied with the connection so far after using it for almost 2 years. My download speed around 70-12- kbps. I'm not sure if postpaid better than prepaid, but generally if it use cable connection it must be faster than if you use USB modem

Hi, Currently I am using a postpaid plan for my internet and sometimes the connection is slow too and it might down anytime. Especially during raining season, the connection is super slow and I get flare up because I can't get my things done fast. Even one hour, I can only completed a quarter of my work. It ever happened "no connection" for a few days and I make a complaint to telekom company. Lastly the company gave me some rebate for the unused days. Such a lousy service. I never try those broadbrand service ,but I have some friend is using broadband internet service ,they said that the connection is not that good also.

Hi, same with you, and I think everyone is also same with us. We all hate with a slow internet connection. But, I think it is not about postpaid or prepaid. It is about the strong signal provided by operator, in our location. That's what I know.. Have a nice day. Best wishes,

There is no difference between the post paid and the pre paid internet connection. The difference will be in what kind of package you enroll yourself in. Internet providers have got different rate for different packages. Go for the package which you think would support your uploads and downloads. Also the time at which you browse internet is important. Generally during the day the internet speed is low because many user actively uses internet and the server gets busy. At night there are less of user and the speed is better than during the day. Happy mylotting!!!Cheers
