Most people may have experienced congestion, ehich will become more severe at the end of the year because those people going shopping or visiting friends lead to the burden of the weak traffic. In the morning,it will take half an hour to finish the 15 minutes' journey. Therefore,we should be more conscious of "prevention of congestion",besides caution of thieves or swindlers!Welcome to join us and offer some valuable suggestion. How do you kill time while waiting in the endless traffic jam? What interseting suggestion do you have?

Sitting in the vehicle during traffic jam and waiting the traffic to be cleared is horrible. When I am stuck in a long traffic, I usually listen to music. If I am not listening to music, I use my cell phone and call my friends. I also play some games in my cell phone to pass my time. It's a horrible hour of time you spend in a traffic jam.

When i have to wait, no matter where i am, and what i am waiting for, i call my boyfriend and we talk on the phone until what i am waiting for it comes, or in this case, until the traffic is free.

When there is such a traffic jam, I will watch a movie or listen to an ebook by my cellphone. If I am not in a hurry, I can still enjoy it. I love China

A few years ago, when I was living in a bigger city and traffic jams were very common, I would: balance my check book, read books or just relax. I found pleasure into lisening to my favorite radio station. Truthfully, it was nice to be in a traffic jam once in awhile...it's just time to sit and actually enjoy "being!"

Hi pengyachu How are you doing today. I am so interest in this question. Actually, I had a lot experiences like this situation. In my case, I used to play video games to kill time, or reading newspaper and bookes. You konw, if there are more than 3 people in your car. I strongly recommend your guys to play poker. I tried that with my family, and is was funny. So, you should try that. Anyway, have a nice day.

Hi pengyachu! I certainly do not look forward for a traffic jam. It just sucks big time. But I must admit that some of the best songs I've heard I heard them during traffic jams.

If I don't drive, I like to sleep during a very heavy traffic congestion. My husband does all the driving, so it is likely that I am going to spend the time sleeping. If I am not tired, I will just sit still in the car, listening to the radio playing songs. If not, I will just gaze outside the car window and look at the outside scenery. Usually a traffic jam is in the middle of a city, so naturally there are a lot of tall buildings everywhere and people walking like ants on the sidewalks. I like to observe the buildings and the people, it is so fascinating. I like reading but I am not able to read while sitting in a car. I will get headache, so I prefer not to read. I don't want to create a severe headache and not able to get up when I reach my destination.

For me.....I make sure I have my favoite soda and I crank up the music and just enjoy the time I have sitting in the car. When I am at home or work it's not relaxing at all....I always have something I have to do....music does the trick for me!

Hello friend. Well luckily or rather unluckily i don't have a driver license or a car, but i have seen plenty of traffic jams, and have been caught in them especially in buses or trams so that is why i generally try to take the subway if available. I find that reading or listening to music is a good way to spend the time, relaxing and not getting annoyed for something we can't control in the first place.

There is nothing like the wasted time of a traffic jam. You have nothing to do but wait. Without something constructive to do, the waiting will drive you crazy sometimes. When i know I will be waiting for a while in traffic, I like to kick back and listen to my favorite songs on the radio for a while. It's even better to pop in my favorite Bon Jovi CD and crank it up. Then i can cope with the traffi jam i am in a little bit better.

Hi sender621, Following are some tips to enjoy with you: 1.Listening to the music or radio. 2.Reading newspapers or magazines, which has been taken placed by reviewing news or websites by mobile phones these years. 3.Calling one friend you have a long time no contact with because of the busy work. 4.Have a nap to reserve your energy if you are too tired. All above methods varied with how long you are jammed on the way,the vehicla you take and your physical conditions and etc.Among these, personal habit is the most important factor,of course.

I just listen and sing along to my favorite songs when there's traffic. I've I have my sister or my friends with me in the car, then we just talk and discuss anything under the sun. And by the way, try and figure an alternative route to get out of the traffic. Happy driving! :)

Hi, there pengyachu! Traffic jam in our country is inherent although the government are trying to make some measures about it, seems the problem cannot be resolved yet. The burden of traffic jam gives stress to many. Before, I got affected and have a little patience with that traffic. Since I cannot control it, I will only get wrinkles if I got affected. So, to keep the beauty within LOL... I always expect the traffic now to condition my mind and body. I try to sleep inside the van or fx (our means of transportation here), sometimes I read books and I found out that I can even compose short poems with the use of my cellphone, saving it to my outbox. That way I defeat the stress in traffic...

Whew! There's a lot of congested traffic here in the Philippines. And I always get caught in those so I'm kinda used to it. What I do to kill time, is I daydream. I imagine all kinds of things, stories, scenarios, etc. Then before I know it, I finally got past the heavy traffic.

I do my make up! Listen to music and sms when the car comes to a standstill. I plan my business, I pray. I do too much. It seems that I like to multi task a little bit too much. I hate traffic. Too much time is wasted. And, of course, I love to day dream. So plenty to do!

As I live in a third world country where traffic is a daily torture, I have learned to bring my anti-boredom kit. I often convert downloaded files for my PSP and watch them while travelling. When I run of shows to watch then I just while away my time surfing the internet with my phone. I also bring a book so that when all my electronics run out of batteries, I still have something to keep me occupied.

Good day :) I'am in college and I have an average of 3hours of travel in a day. And with the fact that I am suffering from sleep deprivation because of school works (and now starting to have a new reason of sleepless nights, lol)--- I tend to sleep with or without traffic jam. HAHA :)) Good thing that I'm lucky enough to wake up when I'am near to go off the public transpo.

There's a lot of things to do when you are at the middle of a heavy traffic in the metro. If you have an ipod, you can just turn it on, put those earphones and boom! You can get rid of being congested from the traffic. You can also turn-on your laptop and you might want to update your status on your Facebook and Twitter account. You can also bring some snacks so while on a traffic, you can just put some popcorn in your mouth assuming that you are watching a movie where the setting is located along the streets!

I find it useful to listen to positive music. I am naturally a stressed person and being in traffic jams cause me even more stress. Adding to much stress can cause road rage and well, we don't want that. I also try not to look at the clock too much. Nothing is more important than arriving to my destination safely!
