Are the Indian girls so beautiful ?

My experience of Indian girls just shows a compulsion to use hair colour, more importantly hair remover, skin lightening chemicals, and generally an excessive amount of make-up. In general, what you see is totally fake! Of course, that is the rich girls. Now, the real Indians, the dark skinned village girls are absolutely charming. They will never be Miss World but they will win your hearts.

well .. it is not just the beauty .. at these peagants. they have to bare all, to the bikinis, and swim suits. and, as you have said, it is just the high castes, .. I think your definition of beauty is painted slim woman! But any woman can look beautiful with a little bit of grooming. As to lower class people not being beautiful, I dare to say it is BS! In fact, it is the higher caste people in our country who have trash looks because they marry for monies, and not for looks. I for one saw an extraordinarily pretty girl some 30 years ago at Srisailam. The girl was from goatheard family, and my regret at that point of time was not being able to at least take her picture.

Its not like higher caste and lower caste. Its between rich and poor. Rich girls having time to do all these things whereas the poor one dont find time to participate in such competitions. And also in such competitions, it not mean that only fair girls winning. They conducting quiz and few other tests for selection. I heard government helped few rural girls to undergo air hostes training. They passed in all tests except communication. i mean as their communication skill is not fulfilled, they couldnt continue. The education, awareness is less in poor girls. So they unable to shine. Thats my perception.

Oh! Yes, they are really beautiful..They've got the most perfect face. They don't need make-up,nor cosmetic surgery. What I love most is their eyes..Simply, sparkling..

Indian girls are beautiful...no doubt...but if you go anywhere n this planet there are beautiful girls everywhere...otherwise there would not have been representation from so many countries in the paegent...it is from the 90's that the beauty of indian girls got recognised from the miss Universe and the miss World crown...what about beauty before that...where the girls not beautiful before that???they were but may not be as talented as the ones who won and there was less recognition at that time as compared to today... As far as the rich and poor, high caste or low caste are concerned i do agree that there is some sort of discrimnation as pointed by you and others in the discussion.

bhanu, bhanu, I could throttle you. Have you been to India, seen our girls, the poor and the rich. I am not saying all are beautiful, but if you go to see, the face cut, the eyes, the complexion of our girls are really worth seeing. There are poor girls who are so beautiful, you would feel sad at their plight. The rich can ofcourse pamper to their bodies and be beautiful, but these pagents are not just for the physical make up of a person. One has to be mentally prepared and smart to win the contest. Have you ever seen girls from our hill stations ? You'll forget all the other countries. They are so pretty and that too without make up. Thier skin is flawless, their eyes large and shapely, their cheeks red without rouge. You have to see them to believe them. Caste and creed dont come into picture when God created them.

Indian girls are beautiful. But only the higher caste girls are beautiful, is false. Actually the recent repeated winnings by Indian girls in the Miss World and Miss Universe contest are purely done by commercial consideration by the MNCs. Yes, yes, yes, do influence these competitions a lot. Their Beauty products market is saturated in the Developed World and India is a big virgin market for them. Indian girls winning these competition opens up the market for them,by default. Although it is more of a design.

well I totally agree with you. the rural girls are not such beauties. except when seen in the movies. well who cares about that anyway. well I think if they had the chance to live in the comfort of the higher class even the would have turned gorgeous. who can tell.

Well who knows you know everybody is differnet and that means that their is different beauties and I don't think that the Indian girls are the most beautiful I think that everybody is pretty much equally beautiful, but hey it's my opinion really. For me I think that beauty has a lot to do with ones personality because what's a person that's very beautful, but with out personality I would have to say a boring person that is not very fun to be around. About Indian girls what I find beautiful about them is how smooth and silky there hair is, but then again japan girls are know for the most beautiful hair. Everybody is known for something different that represents their beauty.

Dear Bhanu, why no Indian ever win Miss India/Miss Universe before 1994 were not Indian girls were beautiful then , It was because India was a big potential market for multinationals which have just opened it's doors towards liberalization so it was more of a marketing strategy, and as regarding caste system it's still a sad part of our country but things are changing slowly but this will take time.

It is quite common that appearance gap exists in every area all over the world,so does it in India.In my opinion,many india girls are very familar with their appearance.They all have big shining eyes,their noses arced are high and beautiful and their faces are small enough.Maybe judged from the standard of a foreigner(me),they are quite alike in their appearance.I think beauty like this lack particularity a bit in my sight.(Just my individual argument) Furthermore,your disscussion remind me that it seems that all soap operas from India show us their luxurious life and beautiful surroundings.I think it is a bit ridiculous for me to see it,since I have known already before that quite a lot india women are deprived and oppressed.Just see the film Slumdog Millionaire.

I only see Indian girls on TV. Yes,they are very beautiful. I admit that is not fair for those lower cast. In fact,it is happened all over the world. Sometimes we feel angry,but we can't change anything.

Beauty is subjective to individual cultures. I don't think you can use the Miss Universe pageants as a standard for beauty. To some, those people may not seem beautiful but to others, they may.

Some of the Indian girl were beautiful and though they were not tall but they were with average high with fitting body and they really look perfect.May be they were from different cast.
