tagging comments??

Whenever you comment on a discussion you get a option to add tag to the discussion.Whats its importance? Does it affect your earning???

GoAskAlice answered the specific questions about tagging. A different way to say it is that when I do a search for a topic, the site searches for tags. If the conversation isn't tagged my search will not find it. That is the importance. Do we get paid? I'm not sure if we get a specific amount. It may be written into the mathematical formula that pays us each day.
