Do you have a time of the year that you favour.
Beginning of the year during the New Year and Chinese New Year period when you have a time of feasting and fun with family and friends. And perhaps you are eagerly awaiting your year-end bonus from the company.
Or the middle of the year during the Good Friday/Easter period - a time of self-reflection and remembering those who have passed on. And not forgetting the school holidays round the corner and planning for your overseas trip.
Or the last part of the year during the Thanksgiving period and Christmas season when you celebrate family togetherness (with family members back from overseas) and expressing gratitude for what we have.
For myself, it got to be the end of the year as I enjoy the festivities around then, the carolling and the gatherings with family and friends. Also the weather is very much cooler and brings on a reflective mood.

That would be December, it's Christmas time, time of giving and sharing. I love gifts and I love receiving gifts and it's only the time of the year where I see my whole family together.
Advance Merry Christmas!! (lol)

Hi carpediem17,
My favorite time of the year is Fall through Winter. I enjoy the changing colors of the leaves from greens to golden and brown. I enjoy making fires in the fireplace and sitting around having Thanksgiving dinner with friends and family and watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on television. The shopping is crazy, but that is part of the excitement. Shortly afterward, comes Christmas and a colder outdoors.
Winter is crisp and fresh. It make it feel as if the environment is free of pollution, which we know is not true, it just feels good. I love to dressup in boots, scraves, coats, and gloves. The winter games are like none other.
People just seem happier and more tolerate toward each other during those times of the year. It also seems less noisy around this time. maybe because people are cold and stay home more with faimily. That is a good thing, having more family time.

Hi,
Yes, it is a beautiful time of year and the fortunate people are going about their business of get through all the great holidaysl, while there are many people who don't have food or shelter. For these people, this problem is ongoing no matter what season it is.

hi angelgirl, thanks for your sharing. Yes, I think the process from autumn to winter time is rather beautiful and you are fortunate to observe this transition.
I guess that's the time when the people around you slow down and take time to switch to more winter activities indoors.
We have to be mindful of those who are homeless, deprived and living outdoors during the winter time.

My favorite part of the year, is the Christmas day. Because for me it's very cozy and peaceful, everyone enjoys and peacefully well-mannered. I love also Christmas season because for the celebration of God's birth our beloved Jesus Christ and every Christmas day all people are peacefully doing good things on our environment. I love very much the Christmas season.

I have two favourite parts that's the summer and christmas time. Summertime because the sun is out and shops are busy and we'll go to the theme park or something. At christmas we have family get-togethers and it's nice to open up expensive presents. I just love the whole christmas atmosphere and the songs make me happy.

whoa parrot, your 2 favourite periods have the year almost covered. Definitely both have their high points and somehow, certain summers or winters stand out significantly for some special reasons.

My favorite part of the year is Christmas, everybody love Christmas also. I am really excited when Christmas approached because I felt that everybody is so generous and loving. Also, we are very special when Christmas comes because we have gifts from the people that we love and we are able to share to the people around us the blessings that we had for the whole year. I hope it's Christmas time again.

seems like Christmas ranks high on most people's list of favourite period. Hopefully the season is not too overly commercialised until the reason for the season is lost.

My favorite part of the year has to be Christmas. It is a time of giving and receiving for everyone. People seemed to be filled with more kindness and compassion for each other at this time of year. it's too bad the Christmas spirit can't last aall year long.

Strangely it is true, people tend to be in a 'better mood' end of the year. Perhaps the kindness and compassion for each other stems very much from the opportunities which present themselves during christmas time.

my favorite part of the year is during holiday season (Christmas and New Year time). It is the most awaited time for every one of us in the family. It is during this time when we are all gathered together and celebrate the most memorable part of the year. We celebrated Christmas each year in a simple way. We just prepared not that bountiful dinner but enough for all of us to share together. For me, it is not the gift, the food, nor anything else that counts a lot but the spirit and the love on each others heart.
Five months to go and we are all gonna celebrate Christmas. I was just so excited, and looking forward for it.

thanks naoimi for the sharing. Indeed Christmas and New Year are times for family togetherness and sharing of our love and concern with one another, not to mention with friends and the less fortunate.

umm sonaimajunmdar, i think you must be quite young for you to enjoy your birthday and looking forward to the next one.
for the older folks, I think one birthday is the same as another ...
more importantnly, we drink to good health and having our own wit and senses together.

oh yes, me too. So much so that to get over this Christmas hangover, I think of the new year as 32, 33 etc. December instead of 1 January.

My favorite time of the year is the cold season. It is the best season to travel in India. Also a lot of fresh vegetables and fish will be available. There will be no rains to drench you. I would love to sleep late and wake up to have a nice cup of coffee. Also a lot of festivals like Diwali and Christmas are celebrated around this time. Hence everywhere we can see happy faces.

oh yes, end of the year is the cold season and a nice time to travel to cold countries too.
I remember travelling to Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and kashmir during the period of Diwali and I felt the sense of festivity during the celebration.

Deepawali is the festival of lights and the observance of light prevailing over darkness?

I like more toward the end of the year where the calender is filled with holidays. During that time the weather is cool, days are shorter and nights are longer. It's a good time to take rest and relax the body for peace of mind. At the end of the year even the office leave gets credited so we can avail at anytime, take a break from work and go for trip with the family. An ideal time to enjoy as it's followed by Christmas and New Year.

One tends to be more reflective towards the end of the year to observe the passing of another year. Especially if one passed a very tough year, one hopes the next year will be better.

There isn't any particular part which I enjoy but I treasure all public holidays because that's the period I can take a break away from work and spend like a whole day at home.
Towards the end of the year, the mood seems to get better as everyone seems to go into festive moods but it's also the rainy seasons so it could go either way for me.
