I really love to travel and I hope if budget permits I would definitely go and travel around the world. Considering the fact that I am still in tight budget and right now I am still saving for my needs, I'll just write this as mind set or an inspiration for me to strive harder.
20 years from now I am in Israel - The desert, the Mediterranean, the Lake Kinneret, the Dead Sea. Everything exists in Israel, more beautifully than any place else in the world. The beauty of the Land of Israel from the deserts of the Negev to the mountains and valleys of the Galil and the Golan; from the coastal plains to the hills of Jerusalem the geography of Israel is incredibly diverse. And the beauty of Jerusalem especially the sun shining on the Jerusalem stone. Also its history, the grandeur of the past can be seen everywhere you turn; and, at the same time, you realize that you are a part of the history that is unfolding before your very eyes.(source yahoo)
How about you guys??? Where are you 20 years from now???

20 years from now I am thinking I have finacial freedom so I can go anywhere I want, after working here abroad my plan will to put up another business. I love doing business than working. although you need to spend your time in your business, you can also earn more unlike working the salary is fixed. I love also traveling another places even I am not financially stable but I travel already all local tourist spots in our country. Maybe after 20 years I can go another places but not in our country it will be another country.

Everyone of us wants to have financial freedom though it is hard to meet without perseverance and determination. Same as you, I also like doing business to earn a living for myself and for my family. So hopefully 20 years from now all this messages from everyone who responded this discussion will come true. I hope everyone will strive hard.
Good luck to us all :)

20 years from now, i could be able learn more the mystery of witchcraft. people would tell me nonsense, illogical, and more on fictional but i dont care as i believe that theres more here in this earth that cant clearly be explained by anybody else unless diving the deeper place such as abyss. i would like to go to Hogwart, England (uncertain if it is located in England or Scotland but certainly its in the U.K) where the Harry Potter was filmed. if time permits me to locate this place then i may be able know something important that connects with myself since i am this too much interested ;)

hello juneramir, your really right with your thought that im an avid fan of Harry Potter. its funny to think that i perceived situations in life like that of different Harry Potter scenes. yeh, though its not meant literally the same but the mystery of Harry Potter's life would be similar to the mystery we're looking for here on earth. just like there are more scenes we even couldn't believe it would happen so as also in real life, referring to the situations we are unable to handle or even we never expect situations would come into our lives, and then later on we could realize how time is valuable. ;)))

Wow, seems like your an avid fan of Harry Potter my friend. It's a nice movie and I love stuff like witchcraft and magic.
As far as I know, many of the Hogwart's school scenes were filmed at Oxford University. In several of the films, Oxford provided Hogwart's staircase notably in the first film where Professor McGonagall greets the school children upon their arrival. Oxford also provided the Great Hall on on which Hogwart's dining room was modelled and the Library which provided the scenes for Hogwart's infirmary and Ron’s dancing lesson with Professor McGonagall.
Good day to you :)

Wow, Hawaii is an interesting place. Just the name alone conjures up images of a pristine tropical paradise; white sand beaches, palm trees, and crystal blue ocean waters.
I have a friend who mentioned about the Scuba Diving thing at the Maui. It is a recommendable place to dive because of excellent dive spots.
She also told me about about a certain restaurant at Oahu,Hawaii. There concierge recommended the Singha, a very nice Thai restaurant. They have live entertainment in the form of several graceful Thai Thai dancing girls performing while you eat. Pretty cool right?
I just wish I have the budget to go my friend...Let's keep our fingers cross!
By the way, I am from Davao and near General Santos...I could offer you a free tour if you want :)
Bon Voyage!

20 years from now, I will take my wife to Greece. I saw this documentary about Greece on cable tv. It looks very peaceful out there. And it has many islands. Everyone looks very friendly. And we would also tour Paris. And ride one of those boats. I forgot what its called. Its very romantic.

I love Greece esp Athens :)
Allow me to add, entertainment with live Greek music is readily available in many nightspots in the city of Athens. This often comes with Greek dinner. Greek musics are very popular throughout the world especially in mainland Europe. Many foreign tourists from outside Europe like to partronise nighspots where live Greek music is available (count me in).
Make it a point to visit one of the nightspots in the city of Athens where live Greek music is available when you visit Athens on your vacation! This may be one of the highlights your trip to Greece!

Twenty years from now I will still interested in traveling. I think I might be sightseeing in Japan in twenty years time. I would fly into Kyoto and then spend a few days there. I would then get a one week train pass and try to see as much as possible. On my way home I think I will travel over sea and land. I will catch a ferry over to China and continue my journey by train all the way to Russia. I will catch a train home from there. Wow!
Twelve years ago I was traveling in Israel. I have done a lot of traveling in my lifetime so far.

Wow... seems like your an adventurous person. I like your travel plan and I love Japan too.
Anyway, I am pretty sure you know already some travel tips because you do travel a lot but allow me to state more ideas. :)
1. Split up your valuables - Split up your bank cards, cash, travellers' cheques and credit cards as much as possible in different pockets, your bags and wallet when packing. In case you do get robbed,at least you won't be strapped for cash (unless you have all your bags AND your wallet stolen of course!).
2 Take solid shampoo bars and tooth powder - Solid shampoo bars and tooth powder (instead of tooth paste) can be easily located on the internet and make carry-on travel in this age of liquid restriction possible. Places like Beijing now bar all liquids in carry-on bags, and you'll still be able to breeze through without checking.
3. Roll Technique - Somehow it seems that bags will hold more if the clothes are rolled rather than folded. If you roll in tissue paper, the clothes will also get less wrinkled.
That's it (hope it will help you)... Have a fun and memorable trip in the future my friend :)

Twenty years from now, I will have my own little place near a beach in some island in the Pacific. Maybe Asia. I've lived there when I was little, and have since moved to big cities then.
By that time the kids would have moved out, and I would be free to do whatever I want. Or maybe live as simple as I want.

Simplicity is beauty my friend. Live life to the fullest...enjoy! I am pretty sure living near the beach in Asia or anywhere can be a great place to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. :)

20 years from now I will be settling in north carolina with hubby and kids. I might be pursuing my frustration in writing. Maybe I just needed a new place, new environment so I can truly make worth of my writing. and 20 years from now I will be 52 years old by then. Gray hair probably, loose teeth and more bigger, much gain weight...
or if God really gives me wants it, definitely 20years from now I would be six feet underground.. Morbid to say it but I just think of the possibilities. with my health condition now, I really can't think of any other place I'd be with...

I have no idea about North Carolina. It seems like a pretty place to live in. I am sure that your passion in writing will push through as long as you have determination and perseverance in mind.
Just be strong and stay healthy! Don't forget to Pray....and God will do the rest :)

They say that if you have no goals in life, you cannot be who you are in the future. it's like floating, and waiting what will happens next. you have to set your goal, years from now, what will i want to be and focus your goal. so 20 years from now, i wish i will have a life that i want to have.happy , peaceful, and contented. i wish I'm still alive...

And thats a mind set my friend.
To add, you must have an inspiration while setting your goals in life. It can be your family or your special someone. Just be brave to take risks or challenges in life.
I know you will be alive by that time. Have faith in God! :)

Until now I always dreamed of touring around Europe. Too much to expect but 20 years from now, I want to fulfill that aspiration. I would love to see Austria where my favorite movie, The Sound of Music, was filmed. I would also want to experience the romantic ambience of Rome, Italy. I am excited to see wonderful sceneries such as the ancient city of Dubrovnik where you can find the "Great wall of China of/in Europe". Also, I will be pleased to see elegant and amorous people in England and France. With its laid back environment, historic sites, preserved amazing building structures, and elegant people, I am more willing to strive hard to get there. As a reserved person, I guess I would really enjoy my stay there.

I love Europe!!!
When you stop to think about best architectural wonders of the world, you may be surprised how many structures will come to mind. There are many extraordinary architectural feats from the minds of modern designers that you may find your breath taken away by the scope and creativity of these architectural masterpieces. To highlight some of the most extraordinary creativity - here is my top 3 lists of different architectural wonders of the modern world, particularly in Europe. (one of my dream destinations)
1. Eiffel Tower - The world famous Eiffel Tower in Paris is an architectural wonder designed and created by Gustave Eiffel.
2. London Eye - As a visitor to London today you cannot miss the most recent of modern architectural wonders
3. Opera House Oslo, Norway - Dubbed the Marble Mountain, the Opera House is covered by a stark white sloping roof, which is supposed to portray the snow-clad alps that pepper large parts of Norway.
Good luck to you Europe future trip my friend :)

Twenty Years from now, I will be in the City of Love, Paris! I would be strolling the streets of Paris and I would go to the Eiffel Tower and tour The Louvre with my soon to be husband and my kids. France always fascinates me which is why I would also fly to St. Tropez and stroll the beach and just experience the luxurious life that I have always wanted.

I will travel a lot of places. My friend just told me that he had travelled from the southeast of China to northwest. He visited numbers of gorgeous places, such as the Polata Palace, the Qinghai Lake,etc.. He went to Tibet and showed me the pictures of the blue sky and crystal lake there. I believe that's the bluest sky in the earth. He also presented me some pictures of the people there. There are so simple and kind, alawys smiling.I think that's the simplest and kindest smile in the world. He said that journey was amazing. And he planned to do it again alone by motor. I am agreed with him. I think everyone should go to the Tibet to enjoy its spontaneous beauty. But I am still in tight budget, but I believe I will go there one day.

20 Years from now, i see myself sitting in a veranda in a rocking chair without any worry or care and reading a book, surrounded by green tress. I would have finished all my responsibilities and have a beautiful home of my own. There will be nothing to worry about and I can be as lazy as I want. Would love to have some nice green trees around me that will give me nice shade but allow just enough sunlight to fall on me from time to time to warm me up.

20 years from now, I would have my real Safari adventures. I will travel to Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Madagascar to experience it. I would really like to try camping in a wildlife reserve and just view the animals and see them in their natural habitat. And while staying there, I would really love to live with the locals and find out about their culture, traditions and festivities. I have a friend who was assigned to study hyenas in Kenya. She had the most wonderful time when she was there. She was even courted by some of the locals thus witnessing how they were courted and how they marry. Next year she is assigned to Madagascar. So I got the inspiration from her to travel to that part of the world. And after that a few days in Seychelles and Mauritius wouldn't be bad for some relaxation.
