Is it still worth it to travel to Bangkok, Thailand?

You know what Pauline? You would be better off going to Vietnam. It's a wonderful country, now opening up to tourism and the culture and the people are just wonderful. Thailand for me, has become too Westernised but Vietnam still retains it's beauty and culture, without the seediness that infests Thailand now and you will never ever see any kind of trouble that it's neighbour has. I've been there lots of times, so if you need and info just ask :-)

I am sorry to hear that Bangkok Airport has been under an attack. I haven't seen the news lately. I think that travelers planning to fly there should look at up to date in formation on the situation. It might be better for a traveler to visit Malaysia and arrive in Thailand on the train. Then he or she could find out how safe it is in Bangkok before visiting it. Sometimes it is better to wait until things are safe again.

I'm not sure what's going on in Thailand at the moment but there's always some kind of violence going on over there, especially when it deals with politics. I honestly don't know how safe it would be to travel there and it definitely wouldn't be worth it. The trip would not be as enjoyable if you're constantly worrying about your safety. It's probably better to keep updated on the situation there then go when things have settled down.

I never heard that news, maybe because I am not watching news that much. Anyways I agree with you that Thailand is a place that we definitely would consider in visiting. However if safety is at risk. I would not mind going there. I would just choose another country to visit in Asia.
