Hi everyone: Since I live alone and have lots of time, I like to do my crocheting projects that I have started. I really do enjoy it a lot, and since my daughter is having her 4th boy in December, then I am crocheting a layette for her to take him home in. since it has been 4 years since she had her last son, she needs everything again, so I told her I would help out by crocheting a baby layette, and of course I will buy her things for the baby too, but at least it is a good start. She really likes things that are homemade, as it comes from the heart, and she said she will definitely use them I also cross stitch, but I haven't done that in ages. I will eventually get back to it again, as I have a lot of projects to do. Doing crafts keeps me busy on these hot summer days, when it is just to hot to be outside, so I just stay inside where I have air conditioning. Please share with us, what you do in yoru spare time, that is fi you have any. Everyone, take care, and you all have a very good day.

In my spare time I like to read, watch t.v., and play video games. I also dabble in a little writing. I don't have a job right now so my spare time is pretty much what I make it. I am online to earn and help pay bills. I will also come online to play games, or read as well, sometimes I'll faux shop, and other times I'll look up things we will need in the future.

My husband and I both have crafty people in my family. My mom and aunt learned how to crochet from one of my grandmother's friends years and years ago. My mom picked up more crafts along the way too, I can't think of all that she's done. My husband's great grandmother crocheted, knitted, cross stitched, and I guess it's a type of cross-stitch but it's on a cloth / soft light brown background and you can put it in a frame. If you know what I am talking about, I'd like to know what it's actually called, lol. I tried picking up a crochet hook and crocheting, I'd love to make pillows, pot holders and afghans, but the hardest part for me was tension and then the tie off at the end.

I do watch movies on my computer from time to time, and I do watch tv whiel I am mylotting. I love crafting, and I have many projects to do, so I will be doing them for awhile that is for sure. I really do enjoy crocheting, as it passes the time and when I am doing it, like jylotting, I will forget the time as it just flies by, but at least I have things to do besides being on my computer all day. I do things on my computer besides mylot to make money, so I am kept busy all day, pretty much. Thank you for responding and happy mylotting.

I watch tv and do some crocheting. I strted doing it again after taking a break from it, and I thoroughly enjoy it. I find it relaxing, and once I start on a project I want to stay with it until it is completed. Now, the my daughter is pregnant again, I am crocheting different colors of booties for the baby to go with the different outfits that she has fro him. It doesn't take long to make them and he won't be due until December so I have plenty of time to make a lot of them. Thank you for responding and happy mylotting.

Hi rosekiss, you are an affectionate mother and a loving grandma too. You are passing your lone time for your daughter's comfort. She will get every thing ready for her baby. My mother also used to do like you for her granddaughter and daughter in law. She is no more. I often remember her. All mothers are same kind hearted and affectionate.

Thank you for your kind words. I like doing things for my daughter even though she lives miles from me. Her and I have always been close, and now with a new grandson coming it will make us closer. She likes things that are handmade, so doing this for her will make me feel good, and I know she will appreciate it. Thank you for your response and happy mylotting.

Wow, you really get up early. I vowed I would never get up early, but I get up usually between 6 and 6:30, as I have 2 dogs and I need to let them out at that time, and so I just stay up. I do watch tv while I am mylotting and doing the other sites, and I am also crocheting a layette for my daughter since she is expecting her 4th boy. It really keeps me busy, and of course I do my grocery shopping too. Thank you for responding and happy mylotting.

In my spare time obviously I'll come on myLot and see what discussions are going on. I'll have a few snacks while I'm at it :P If something is wrong with my internet like it occasionally is I will watch tv or put on a movie. I will clean out my bird's cage and play around with him, he is a darling :P Other times I might just go out and see if I want anything for myself like a new pc game or something. Sometimes I just sit on my bed and think without doing anything it can be relaxing. I also do computer programming not just as a hobby but for freelance work so I may get on with that or find a new freelance job I can get busy with, can't think of anymore to say but there's probably a tonne of things I do.

It sounds like you really have things to do in your spare time. I watch tv, do my crafts, and I also do puzzles once in a while as I have lots of puzzle books that I like to work on. You know though, having things to do, really helps pass the time and it seems like the time goes so much faster that way, maybe to fast, but at least I am glad I am able to do what I do, as others can't. Thank you for your response, and happy mylotting.

That is a cool thing to do. I never was interested in learning the guitar, and now that I am a grandmother, I don't think I need to. It is amazing how many different things we all do in our spare time. We all are different and no tow people do the same thing. You enjoy your guitar, and I enjoy my crocheting. Thank you for your response and happy mylotting.

Yea, I can certainly understand that. you have to go so school as that is important too. Beings that my kids are married and gone and I am divorced, I have more time now than I used to have. I did however, crochet a lot when I was still married, but only after the kids left home, as I figured they were more important than doing my own thing. I do enjoy crafting though, and I hope to keep doing it for as long as I can. Thank you for responding and happy mylotting.

Every once in a while, I take on a new knitting project. I usually finish it but don't start a new one. Since I'm back in school now, my time is filled with studies and being a mother. I'm not finding a lot of time to knit. I generally take up a few projects in September to finish for Christmas projects/gifts.

I can certainly understand where you are coming from, as when my kids were growing up, I never did much knitting or crocheting either. It wasn't until they left home that I was able to devote my time to the projects that I have started. I do have a tendency to start a project and get bored with it and then I will start another one. I think a lot of us do that, as I like change, but I do eventually get back to them even if it is months or years from the time I started them. The projects though of crocheting for my unborn grandson, I intend to finish each one so that she can have them before he is born. I will have them done in plenty of time though, but I want to crochet a lot of things for him, so I just keep going throughout the day. Thank you for responding and happy mylotting.

My spare time is filled with hobbies. I am a gadget freak and a music lover. I always listen to music on my iPod or music system. I read gadget books and buy some really good ones. In fact I am planning to have a room for my gadgets. I watch movies over my laptop and i love them. I usually download old movies of two years back which are hits. I am bit crazy about coin and currency collection now. I have bought 14 currencies in the last 14 days now. I usually buy on eBay. I have over 150 coins and around 75 currencies. I usually play table tennis and cricket. I have a tough serve in table tennis and I am called thunder bolt in my serve by my friends. I play cricket left handed even though I am not a left hander. I love watching TV finally. I read news papers in the morning.

Wow, you really have a lot of hobbies, but sounds quite interesting and enough to keep you occupied. I do watch tv too, as well as I do watch movies on my laptop from time to time, but not a lot. Mostly, I just do my crafting which is my hobby, as I have been doing it since I graduated from high school at the age of 18, and I am now 62, so as you can tell, I have been doing it for a long time, but it really does keep my hands busy and keeps me occupied with other things besides always being on my laptop, as I do need to take breaks once in awhile. Thank you for responding and happy mylotting.

I like to read too, but the only thing I read right now is the bible, as I just don't take teh time to read anything else. I do like to watch movies once in awhile as I have lots of those in my collection, and some I haven't even seen yet, but I will eventually get to them. I am crocheting now, to make the things for the baby coming and then possibly I will go back to counted cross stitch, but not sure yet, as I like doing that too, and it is very time consuming. Thank you for responding and happy mylotting.

I only have free time in my offive when working hours . I use it to access mylot and make posts. At home, I almost never have free time. I spend most of my time at home by caring my children. I have a baby and 4 years old son. Since I have them, there is no free time for me to enjoy it by myself. I used to enjoy my free time by played basketball with my friends.

It is a lot of fun isn't it? I started crocheting after I graduated from high school, and had gone to live with my dad. I wanted to learn how to crochet and knit, so I just bought the books that have all the stitches illustrated, and I just started following them, and hat is how I learned on my own. I have crocheted many items since then, and it seems to be more enjoyable more now than it was then. Thank you responding and happy mylotting.

I don't read novels, as I have never been interested in them I suppose. I do have a set of the Little House books, but I haven't read them yet. I might take time to read them one of these days. I do watch tv, ane I watch movies from time to time, but I haven't really watched them all that much lately. I have been busy doing things on the computer and now that I am crocheting, I just don't take time for anything else. Thank you for responding and happy mylotting.
