Do you use the same glass your friend is using while you drink something? For me, I really don't unless we are in the state of emergency. If I can not see other glass to use, I might force myself to use the same glass but if there is a way, I really don't.
It feels yucky to me. What about you? Just curious!!!

I feel the exact same way and everyone makes fun of me. How can you kiss your husband and not share a glass with him? Well I simply can't. I too find it gross. I never share drinks, straws, fork, food, etc...
However... (there's always a however isn't there?) I did go out with friends one time and we all ordered different martinis with the intention of each trying them out. Took a lot out of me to do so.

Why?
My opinion is because we simply can't share a glass but kissing is different. It's a natural need to be affectionate and the romance of it all. It makes us feel good so we push aside our discomfort of sharing said germs.
My husband is used to me and will ALWAYS offer me to first sip. Or he'll tell me to drink the first half and he'll finish the drink off once I'm done.

hahah we are the same.. I don't use the same glass with my hubby unless it is an emergency. I mean, when we are in the place when there's no other way to use another glass then I will be force to use the same glass but as what you said, gross.. hahaha

@ MommaOfAllTrades, I too, feel the same way about sharing the same glass with my husband. IF we have to, I usually rinse it off first when he's not looking or else he might get offended. Why do you think we do that? When we have no trouble kissing our spouses.

I use my honeys glass all the time. When it comes to friends I would too, you can always rinse it out first. Hopefully your friends have more than 1 glass though

No, I don't. It would have to be a real emergency, like passing out thirst and only one glass. But, if it's just an everyday situation, I'd simply wait until I could go somewhere to get my own glass. I won't even share a glass with my own mother. I don't believe in sharing germs.

Hello there. No, i don't not even with my family. I am very particular when i comes to hygiene. Mouth is contain millions of bacteria that can transmit to you anytime and a tough of "what if" the person has tooth or mouth problem? Yucks! It's just like you're kissing to that person indirectly. EEEwwww!

it depends but we normally use different glasses even out side but as i said that it depends like if were in the situation that theres only one glasses available then why not, they are my friends anyway but if strangers then of course i will not, i will do something to find other glass or to drink without using the same glass.

I used to think it's ok but in recently years with the outbreak of SARS and other kinds of diseases transmitted by airborne particles, we should really be careful. Better to be safe than sorry. If there are no glasses available, I will use it only AFTER washing or I will go without drinking.

I drink after my husband only, though I used to drink after others. I guess now if someone wanted to share a drink, unless it was my husband, I'd say no and buy them their own!

Well I would of course just use my own glass but if no glass is available for my own use then I can use my friend's provided I know he/she is not sick! Ha!ha!ha! And maybe perhaps I will just use a straw to be safer. What do you think?

In some instances my friend but I would never take it or use it same where their lips touched the glass or cup. Yeah it would be so yucky but since we're talking here on emergency situation I think that could not be avoided.
Beware of hepatitis my friend...

Hi,
I seldom share the same glasses with my friend, unless,
during the emergency time.
Or when we are out for dinner/lunch and I wanted to try
her drink, then only I will drink from her cup.
Or else, I prefer to drink from my own cup.
It is for hygiene reason and to protect myself against any
virus,in case, my friend has flu/cough at that moment.
Of course, with my husband, I don't mind to share same glass
with him and now we are just using 1 big cup for 2 of us at home.

Omg I used to and now I never do it. (nothing bad happened for me to stop) but my dad told me you never know where people's mouths have been. Then I met this girl that asked whenever she used anything that used your mouth (like chapstick or drinking something) she would ask, "do you suck ****?" and I thought this was crazy but she was right though, you never know. And I would NEVER want to drink after a girl that does THAT with her mouth or who knows what else. Be careful with that stuff.
