Dhoni slames lifeless pitch , Mahandra singh dhoni said the track made it seem that the bowlers were just to get smashed all over the park. srilanka made 642(declared) before india replied in similar fashion to post 707 on the board in a rather disappointment track which offered nothing to the bowlers.
Sangakkara also felt the the picth madethe bowlers work hard.
One of the plus points in this match for INDIA is sachin's double and suresh rainas century are the hilights for this match.& suresh raina is only indian player who has scored 100's in all formats of cricket. lets congrats raina and hope he will have his place for the next test match.

murali retired after playing one test, because he was aware of this pitch!
it was a pitch made to make runs.
actually i think its there plan to make a spinning pitch for first test, supporting murali, which will earn them a win.
and a draw pitch, batting pitch next.
and third match will decide the series.
now lankans will not loss the series.

hello,
ICC should monitor all the matches before a series starts.Therefore, the pitch suits both the batsman and bowlers.Dhoni said correctly that the second test was a dry dull one for the bowlers .The batsmen for both sides were hitting the balls out of the parks.I hope ICC should monitor the pitch before the start of a series.If this continues , then people won't be interested in the test matches

India's reply is not in convincing, i mean at no point of this match, India tried to dominate the opposition. At one point or the other, we were either too much defensive or the players played for their records.
I feel this drawn test match is also a moral boosting win for the LANKANS.

Now a days most of the time pitches prepared only for batsmen. They (pitch curators) get these instructions from their bosses. now even in the carribean islands pitches made for batsmen , preparing fast pitches are now matter of past. Anyway, congrutulations to Sachin and Raina for achieving new heights.

Luckily it ended in a draw rather than India being on the losning side. India performed well than the first test. They should perform brilliantly and level the series.
