just fill up your mind to do lots of thinking.... It will help, but don't make yourself overtired overtired thinking... I learned it from one biology professor...

I'm also trying to lose my weight too. Actually, I already shed some pounds but I feel I gained again because of my lack in exercise and eating unhealthy sometimes. My goal for this month is to drink only water, exercise at least 4 times a week, get enough sleep, and eat 5 times a week every 3 months. I already did that and it's really effective for me. I just only lost my discipline so that's why I'm gaining again. Also, when it comes to exercise, I've learned that don't stick to just one. Your body always wanted surprises. There are so many online exercise videos out there for free. Also, not only exercise should vary, but also your nutrition too. It's also okay to cheat but don't do it very often. I suggest you do that once a week.

Oh I forgot! Don't use scales often to see your progress because that would disappoint you especially when you see your weight goes up instead it goes down. Also, the weighing scale measures everything: fat, muscles, and bones and the only thing you need to lose is the fat itself. If you want to see your progress use a measuring tape instead or notice how the clothes fit you.

The easiest thing to do is losing the weight, the hardest thing to do after losing the weight is to keep the weight off. I have lost and gained weight so many times and mostly due to pregnancy, but the last 10 years (after the birth of my 6th child) I have had a most difficult time getting back to my pre-pregnancy weight of 121. I lose the weight, only to gain it back again. I could sit here and tell you that it's all about moderation, but since everyone is different..Only you can know what works for you. Professional help? Such as a trainer or nutritionist? If that's what you need to do stick with your plan? Then, yes...do what you need to do to get healhty and stay healthy.

The way I did it, was to just cut down on the size of my meal portions and to stop snacking too much during the day. Also I tried to eat my last meal of the day before 6pm, because if you eat too much later on it takes your body longer to digest it, and it stores up fat. I was not on a diet as such, it was just cutting down. I still ate and drank unhealthy things but I lost 2 dress sizes almost 3. Also the only exercise that I do is running around after my 1 year old son, other than that I do not do any other exercise. It worked for me, and it may work for you, it's not a quick weight loss, but it does work.

Loosing weight and compromising the health both are i think not to be compared. because both are having their own restrictions. alternatively, you can plan in this way . you can try yogas and small meditations . this will help in making you fit always . here too the compromise of health should not be taken care. since, if you go in a process of loosing weight naturally the health and shape of your body may also change to some or certain extent. therefore, try the lossing weight yogas/asans/meditations as your permanent hobby. do not just do it for few days and later on leave the same . Your intended dedication is a must in this practice, because as you know without any interest in one aspect the dedication does not arise and without dedication you cannot achieve any big thing .

hmmm...there is always what we call as healthy ways of losing weight...and most of us are aware of this..balanced diet.., and regular exercise...and increased fluid intake to increase metabolism..but the question is... can we discipline ourselves to make it a habit? and that's the hardest part... especially if we are not used to exercising..it will be a struggle... it is good to consult a doctor first if you plan to lose a large amount of wt..just to be sure that you will not be compromising your health especially your hearts by sudden loss of wt...=)

Losing weight is very hard. I agree with eating the smaller portions but you must include some kind of exercise it could just be walking around your block, make sure you do it briskly and for at least half hour, three times a week for the least. When you are trying to lose weight it helps to tell someone so that they can encourage you and help keep you on track when you slip, and you will. I have found that these actions help to keep off the weight and is great for self confidence. Hope you achieve your goal

that is my biggest problem right now. i rarely exercise though i have cut down on food and choose my food well. but it doesn't seem to help at all. i think the mount of physical activity determines how much weight we will lose.i am going to add exercise. i need to lise 30 to gert back to my old or normal weight.

Time Finding the time to do exercise can be difficult especially if you work all day. Then you have to motivate yourself to exercise after a long workday. Another challenge is staying in a routine. One slip can lead you right back to bad eating habits. The feeling that the weight loss is just not coming off fast enough. But people shouldn't fret, the weight loss does come off eventually. You can slip and still go back.

HI, It is not easy to lose weight,I am facing the same difficulty. I have been telling myself to lose few kilos in 2-3 months, but no result at all. But I promise myself to lose some weigh by this year end,at least 3 kilos for me. I have a diet plan(reduce my meal portion) and eat less meat, eat more fruits and vegetables. Also avoid those junk foods and no heavy meal throughtout my diet plan. If possible, I will have some exercise like jogging on weekend.or go for aerobics. I do read some recommendation from my friends of taking those slimming product, and I am still in the midst of considering it. The price is not that cheap, but my friends do show the amazing results after consuming the slimmin product for 1 month. It makes my heart move and wanna try it out too.

I always found it easy to lose weight when I don't plan to... Everytime I try to lose weight I never did so I stopped trying. I have lost 10 lbs now, how I did it I don't know but if you ask me I don't see it either. I look fatter to me.

what I am doing since i gained a few pounds is that i just eat twice a day instead of the 3 regular meals. i just ate during breakfast and dinner time. Since I am not working as of the moment that is how i manage to lose weight. I just eat a few snacks during night time like one small loaf of bread. I also do a few exercise like running and dancing in the morning.

I too have that problem. I can't shed more than 5 pounds though. It keeps coming back. I think I have to elevate my carb burn and get more more muscle to burn more calories.

Losing weight is a simple equation. You have to take in fewer calories than your body requires. Keep strict count of calories but don't go below 1200. Gradually increase the number of fruits and veggies ervings in your diet until you reach 9. Increase your fiber intake with the fruits and veggies and making sure that the grains that you eat are whole grains. You want to get the fiber number up to 30. Drink 8 glasses of water a day. Last, exercise for 30 minutes a day at least 5 days a week and after a few weeks add 15 minutes of weight training to your exercise regimen 3 days a week. If you incorporate all of these things into your lifestyle, you will not only lose weight, you will also keep it off and the bonus is how great you will feel. I would also add a good multivitamin supplement daily while you are restricting calories.
