Watching horror movies at night time

Are you comfortable to watch those horror movies at night time? Or do you must have to some one accompany you or turn all the lights on? When I was little, I hate to watch those horror movies alone in the living room, especially all the lights off. I just couldn't stand the darkness, because all those bad dream might come to me at night while I go to bed. I might need all the lights on, or someone accompany me for the moment. What about you?

When I was at school, I like to read horror stories and re-tell hem to my little brothers. One night, one of my brothers was spooked when he saw a shadow of a man in front of our house and got the attention of our neighbors. My father was angry at my brother for being spooked and I stopped telling horror stories to my brothers. Until now, I still like to read and watch horror movies. I also watch horror movies in TV at nights. AS long as I have the light on, I don't scare. It's when I wad a dim lighted room that I got spooked.

I can't bear watching horror movies at any time of the day because everytime I do so, it is imprinted on my mind for a long time and I tend to imagine it over and over especially when I am alone at night in my room. But if it can't be avoided, I have to make sure to close my eyes at very terrifying scene..lol

Then you will have to close your eyes during the whole film because you do not know which parts of the film have very terrifying scene! So, you are not watiching but instead listening to the film! Is that right?!

I know I'm old enough to stop getting spooked at horror movies, but I really can't help imagining things from the movie. I used to get real scared when I was a kid, although it lessened now that I'm an adult, I still get crazy ideas from movies. So I always want someone to accompany me watching them I turn all the lights on.

I don't want anyone accompany me, but I still get scared by watching those horror movies sometimes. Maybe it was my mind imagining things that is not necessary.

I can remember the first time that I watched a horror movie by myself. The movie was The Grudge and out of nowhere this crazy idea just hit me. What I did was I played the movie, turned off the lights, set the volume to maximum. It was really frightening. And did I tell you that I watched it 3am? That was scary as hell. With all those scary and heart thumping sound effects,I didn't even last 15minutes of the movie.

It's the best time to watch any horror movie...the ambience ^__^ is just perfect. Yep, often times I watch horror movies at night time especially if it's about monsters or ghosts. Basically, I was just trying to scare myself lol.

No, I'm not. Actually, I have a copy local horror movie which I downloaded 2 weeks ago, until not I can't find the courage to watch it. I don't know why, every time I hear the background music it gives me goosebumps. So I always ends up turning it off.

I love horror movies and I can sit in the dark and watch them by myself. When I go see them at the theater, I laugh at the other women that get scared and then make comments after the movie that they will not be able to sleep that night. When I get home I sleep like a baby.

I actually don't mind horror movies. I have found that most of them put me to sleep anyways. However, I don't dare watch Forensic Files or something like that (an actual, real life murder mystery) right before I go to bed. One night I watched one and the killer had snuck in the woman's house and murdered her, and I didn't go to sleep at all that night. I was alone and my house is huge, so it made me very uneasy. I walked around my house paranoid, triple-checking all the locks and windows. Needless to say, I've never done that again...

I never watch horror movies at night! If I do it'll be sooo hard for me to fall asleep. When I'm watching horror movies I need to have someone with me. :) I also need a blanket so when I get scared I can cover my face. :D

Actually its fun to watch horror movies last night , in dark room with high sound, its kind of thrill which is good to experience there is a movie called REC, tha tis original version not the hollywood remake , that was very nice horror movie ,certainly some very shocking scenes, japanese horror movies are throughly enjoyable, because they are creepy and nightmarish , like JU-ON, Audition. Some horror thriller movies like Exorcist The Shining, Misery, Dracula directed by cupola, were nice to watch .So far ive enjoyed watching horror movies alone and there were no nightmares or something like that, however when i saw exorcist , that face of demon possessed girl was in my mind for 3 4 days,i am sure this happened with many people who watched this movie.

Muahahaha! I love watching scary movies. I love vampire movies. Not like twilight, like Bram Stroker's version. I'm a baby from the 80's. We had so many "b" movies, undoubtingly the b stood for bad. But I love them because they are just that. Movies. reality is a lot more frightning. Some of the scum like sucking demons that walk this earth would scare Freddy Kruger out of his striped shirt.

Actually it would be far out if you would actually watch a horror film on broad daylight. (Please tell me if i'm making sense) Watching a movie is more than understanding the film but also getting the total feel of it. Watching horror films at night would only justify your purpose on watching it, be scared and get carried away, otherwise, the will be only be two things: 1. It was a very horrible made film 2. Lame actors/plot/storyline/effects With your premise above, I can say that the films you've watched so far are effective, coz it scared the sh*t out of you. (smile)

To be honest, I am afraid of watching horror movies and this is why I do not always watch them. However, I will not ask anyone to watch the horror movies with me though I am afraid of watching them because I am always scared by the ways my friends scream when they see some terrible scenes instead of those terrible scenes. Therefore, I prefer to watch it myself in the morning.
