living almost 30 years of my life, the most treasured lesson I've ever learned is that, to love yourself. This applies to whenever you try to love someone, always remember to love yourself first. You might think that this is a selfish attitude but think about this, when you love someone so dearly and you pour every single love you have for that person and the person go away without any reason and you're left is the pain, your initial reaction is.. is theres something wrong with me? if you love yourself you can still stand up and still know your worth! but this is just me... ho w about you? what's your best life lesson learned?

I've learned from the life lesson is not to trust anyone easily. No matter how close you are with the person. You must always see it that he/she has devil inside of her/him. I hate being a person to trust easily. Until I was in that situation.

I agree with you. I usually apply that thing to maids now a days. ^.^ I have 3 years old son and I don't really let him be alone with his yaya, even before I was still working. I let my mom supervise them both. It's so hard to say, especially with the news that been going around with missing children. it's so scary! thanks for the response!

I agree with you, its really difficult to trust someone. Especially they are taking care of your loving son. Keep your eyes on them so that you wont be betrayed.

The best lesson I have learned is somewhat close to yours. That is to always keep in mind that I'm special. When I was a child, my Mom would always tell me that I'm above-average, and so I deserve more than the ordinary things in life. Because of this, I'm always motivated to be on top of the class, to play the lead role in musical plays, to have the best set of friends, to have the best things in life. We are not rich, but Mom always does everything she can so we won't be left behind, because we are special. Even now, whenever I think that I'm getting something substandard, I say "I don't deserve it" and do whatever I can to get something better. But of course, it's still within the bounds of reason, kindness and righteousness. Simply put, because I was told I'm special, mediocrity is never in my vocabulary.

Everybody is special. and people should always think like that because its the truth. You have a great mom you must be proud for her raising you up as you are right now. ^.^ I also agree with the limits of loving yourself with kindness and righteousness. It's really bad to overly love yourself for that matter. ^.^ thanks for your response!

One of the best life lessons I have learned is that even if an item is on sale, doesn't necessarily mean that you can afford it. If you don't have the money to pay cash for it, leave it on the shelf.

I've learned a lot of life lessons in my years here on earth, but I think the one that I like most is that if you want something bad enough, and are passionate enough in working for it, you can achieve it. Follow your dreams.

I don't know if you can consider this as a lesson but as I grew up I realized that life is not perfect so I've been a strong believer that "everything happens for a reason". If something happened that is not according to what I want or I planned, I just keep in mind that there's always a good reason what it happened.

My life lesson would be 'if you've been through rough times, you enjoy the good times even more' Meaning if you have allot of down times/periods in your life, you enjoy the times/periods that are better even more because you appreciate the good times even more. I also agree with mimifrap that everything happens for a reason.

well maybe i just have short comment ... the best ever life lesson i learned ? I learned from failure ... with that failure i'll try to make it better, so failure is the best lesson ... it's like this quote : " The 1st best thing is to try and win, The 2nd best thing is to try and fail, the worst thing is to do nothing" btw ... i agree with u , that we must remember to love ourself :thumbs up ^^

The best life lesson I had learn is always smiling before every difficulty. At that time, I will calmly find a solution to properly resolve the issue. It is just simple.

I agree with what you said about loving yourself first. As for me, my best life lesson learned is the explanation of this quote: "The only real failure in life is the failure to try". I am very pessimistic and too scared to try things. To top it all, I'm scared of failure. That's why I don't try stuff because I don't know what to do if I fail. But as time goes by, I learned that we'll never know what will happen if we don't try it. And that the real failure is only if we fail to try. One must not be afraid to try because we can never achieve what we want if we don't try the first step of achieving it.
