My question is, why do you watch reality TV? I personally don't watch reality tv because it's rarely "real." And the way I see it, these people don't really care about my life why should I care about theirs. By the way, National Geographic, Discovery channel, Food Channel and HGTV are not considered reality tv - they're documentaries and exist to teach.

No I do not watch these shows. I do enjoy watching shows on HGTV, National Geographic and now the Smithsonian channel. I prefer to watch TV to learn.

Its basically just for entertainment really, I watch reality shows but not those jersey shore type. I still want to see competition like amazing race, top chef or survivor. I cant really say if their "real" but if they're not i wouldn't feel cheated in anyway as I said i just watch for entertainment and if I like the contestants I will root for them and be sad if they get eliminated but I'll go on with my life.
