So, I recently got back on Pogo and was playing a game and this person comes on the chat and asks...
"How do you win the jackpot?"
I just wanted to reach thru the internet and SLAP him/her!
I ask you, if you had one the jackpot, would you still be playing the game?
Well, maybe so, I'm not really playing in hopes of winning the jackpot, but I think most of us would by the club Pogo upgrade and play some other games that don't advertise during the game...
"Luck, nothing but luck," I responded and they went away.
well DUH!!!
I get SO tired of these inane questions when it should be obvious - or read the FAQs!!!
Do you get tired of the same stupid questions over and over? I don't even BOTH with newbies on here, because their discussions will be deleted anway!

I am a club pogo member, and a badge addict as well. I just have to get all the badges for the weekly challenges.
There are two stupid questions that really get to me on pogo.
The first one is "how do you play this game?", to which I usually tell them to go read 'how to play'.
The second is "how do you get the badge?"...this one is asked when new challenge come out. Now, it is explained in the box that announces the challenge, and is usually only 2 or 3 lines long. I guess they can't be bothered to spend 2 seconds to read it, and it really annoys me.
And here. Man, the same questions day after day...how? how much? Should I join?
What are good sites? neobux. I could go on and on, but you get the idea.

Oh...forgot to add...I did win once on pogo...but it was nothing to write home about. It was 5 bucks on a jackpot spin, and I did get it. Hubby won once, too. He won 10 bucks on a jackpot spin, and it was kinda weird, cause it was his birthday. How's that for coincidence?

Like you, I don't bother with "stupid" questions. If the newbie didn't bother reading the rules or past discussions, then I'm not gonna bother with my comment/opinion. Have you ever heard of trivial.com? I heard that they have good games on that website. You should check out. One my friends was lucky enough to win something in that site. I haven't tried it coz I'm so busy with mylot. Hehehe... cheers!

respondent #16 actually won $5 from Pogo! but that's the exception rather than the rule...
I swear, I should just turn the chat off, all I do is get annoyed about half the time - they are either asking stupid questions or telling people risky info about themselves!

Purple? I knew I liked you...
No, I asked because you mentioned inane questions, and that was the only one I could think of early in the morning...

Hi ya ElicBxn
That really is a dumb question huh? I can't say that I have come across anything particularly stupid lately. As for newbies, I would still respond to them just to help them out even if the discussion gets deleted, after all, we were all newbies once!

Where do you find newbies that post discussions? I now have tons of people requesting me as friend that have absolute zero activity. I get spammed if I accept them, so guess what? They get denied. They will never know why, they will just go away. Especially if everyone refuses to join ugno with them. Yes, I get tired of stupid questions. I get tired of the fairly new newbie who has only three themes to his poll like discussions as well. I think I am being grouchy, must be time to get some lunch.

this was over on Pogo in a chat, I agree, it does seem to be hard to find newbie's here starting GOOD discussions when they start one
I'd rather they respond than start and just a few minutes ago denied someone with 4 and it hadn't changed in several days

i don't think most people read faq or tos on sites..doesn't seem that way anyway.
the fact that they ask random people makes even less sense.
they should ask the owners instead.

Some people dont bother to read, because some of the terms and agreements and all that sort of thing are so long. Why bother? However, some people just dont bother to read period, unfortunately.

hi Elicbxn the other day I had 7 responses deleted as I had tried to help the newies who refuse to even try to read the guideline and learn the rules so they will not have all these deletions. I give up, I will help now only if I am asked because I have been accused of being mean by telling them to read the guidelines instead of just sp;elling each and every rule out for them.

Seems to be a lot of that going around. I am noticing lots of people just joining sites and spamming, lots of sites. I guess the economy is bad all over. Actually participating would do them more good, though.

I have always hated stupid questions. People that ask them aren't going to listen to your answer if u give them one. HYave a good day, Elic.

U are probably right. People don't want to hear the truth most of the time. If they ask me a question they are going to get a truthful answer from me whether they like it or not. I know the truth hurts sometimes, lol.

I would have given a ridiculous answer as how to do it, like you have to play for 10,000 hours before you have a chance. LOL

If I notice a question being asked over and over, I usually just think they missed the response. Everyone should read the rules, but sometimes I guess they are not really clear. I am pretty easy going and if there is a response that seems dumb, I just don't answer it.

I agree- there are just some questions asked in life that requires that person be examined by a doctor- because it's just too hard to believe they actually have a brain.
As far as the questions from newbies on here- I can understand that they would want further explanation about using mylot, even I did when I was a newbie. But instead of starting a conversation- they should use the search tool and look up discussions the newbies in the past have started.
Most of the time when someone asks me a question that is plainly stupid and obviously doesn't need to be answered by a human- I laugh. Can't help it most of the time it just strikes me as funny that they would be so dense as to ask something.

well, since I seldom ask questions when they are blatantly OBVIOUS, I don't think most of my questions can be taken as stupid - and the questions for the discussions are just to help make them a discussion - sometime they are just "teasers" in that case

I go to Pogo occasionally, haven't been there for a long time cos I've been so busy. I have never been approached by someone in the chat box and never chatted with anyone there so I've never been asked dumb questions.
I like some of the games there but points earned are worse that useless. No prizes, merchandise, cash outs, and spending them on the daily/weekly/monthly drawings are like throwing them away. I would have told that person to spend his time elsewhere unless he really likes the game he's playing.

I love to help but I admit it can get tedious! I have come across the same questions over and over again. I admit that I avoid them now because I don’t like having responses deleted on a regular basis. I feel like just typing ‘Read the guidelines!!!’ in big print!
