listen, english is a simple language.in order to increase your vocabulary you should read books. try to study at least 2 word every day.and try to make use of it in speaking. although you should try to speak english.

Hi there. Everything that they have said were actually true. I have worked in the call center industry for 2 years and our clients were mostly americans. I also had an experience teaching basic english grammar to korean students. First, read english books as much as possible. Second, understand what you have read and learn new words; read through the dictionary or research new words on the internet. Third, learn the basics in grammar. Fourth, PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE. As the saying goes, practice makes perfect. Aside from what I have mentioned above, you will be needing a lot of patience if you really want to be good in it. Of course, there is nothing perfect and if you fail, that's fine. Try again and learn from your mistakes. Hope this helps.

Try livemocha.com. It's free and you get to interact with native speakers while you're learning, as well as tutor others in your native tongue. I'm doing it right now and it's pretty great! Instead of just reading and reciting, you hear the correct pronunciation as well, plus record your practice sessions to be reviewed by your tutor.

English is also my second language. Same as you, I too wanted to develop further my English communication skills. Aside from reading, this is also what I did which had helped my English skills to improve tremendously, especially in pronouncing words correctly. I watch a lot of English films and TV series. I watch it in DVDs with an English subtitle on it. What I do is, I repeat what the actors or actresses say and how they pronounce the words as well as their accent. At the same time that I am enjoying the film, I am also learning at the same time. Cool.

To learn English, you have to read a lot and have a dictionary with you always. If you have a word that you don't know the meaning, look it up in the dictionary. If it will make you more comfortable, also have a translation dictionary. Second, converse in English as often as you can. There is a saying that practice makes perfect

Maybe I can share some experiences of writing with you. Once I was very interested in reading novels. And I found myself in the library Gone with the Wind. I read it all through, though I didn't bother myself with every new word. However, it happens that you can meet them during reading such a long story so that you can guess the meaning and usage. Then the story and the setting in the novel also gave me inspiration of creating my own story, using the beautiful sentences and idiomatic expressions. Most important of all, such reading can alternate your dull style of writing and make you experience another way of telling things. That's right! To read, read anything you like that keeps you in interest and imagination, which will definitely lead you to your stunning writing pieces!
