Well I read a lot of books and watch plenty of movies not to mention the softwares that I use. And mostly I download a pirated version of everything buying a few books occasionally nothing else. Do you think that internet has made piracy more easy? How often do you actually pay for stuff of which you can easily get a copy of?

Great question! I buy original movies because it is affordable and to me, it has all the uncut versions... I do download the pirated ones but that's just for my hard disk collection..
As for software, I do buy original programs like Windows and also anti virus and office products... but for games, I would buy the pirated ones, if they are cheaper, and on sale, at times then only will I buy the original ones..
Yes, the internet has made piracy easier!! Much easier, there's so many sites that you can actually download pirated programs and movies.. Without that, you'll need to buy it from the pirated CD shops.. and if you want to buy a lot movies or programs, it will cost quite a bit!! Now, you just need an internet line, and you can get anything you want!! and it's free!!
It's not often that I pay for everything that I download, but if I really like the product, I'll pay the money to get it!

Well its good that at least someone is buying the stuff or else all the software companies, music companies and the whole lot will just shut down which will be bad even for the pirates :)

exactly! I wouldn't want them to lose out.. They did invest money to create the product, the least you can do is support them a little.. :P

I would not take the chance of downloading a pirated movie. I have heard of people getting in trouble for this. I rent my movies from Netflix and sometimes watch them online. It is really inexpensive for the monthly rate and I can watch as many movies as I want.

I am just like you. If there is a copy available online, I'll just download a copy and that's it. I mean I do not spend too much on movies and I am not a fan of a big screen. For books, I invest for it as I really like to read, but now I am contemplating if I have to get an ebook reader and just download ebooks from the net. Though the reader is quite expensive, I am thinking that I can save on the long run on those ebooks available online.
