hi mzbaybe congrats. well you will need first, last and deposit for the rent. if its furnished you will not have to worry about furniture, do keep your fridge well stocked so you will not overdo food spending and do make a budget for your expenses so you can keep within them. If you have a car, you will need to count it in your budget or if you use buses to work and back get a monthly pass as it will save you money. Try to put something in savings even if its not a large amount each time you get your paycheck. Now the final advice have fun the first time on your own.

Is this your own house? i experience living on my own, as much as possible bring something that you really need so that it will not eat space of your place, stuck your ref with food so that you don't need to go in a grocery every time you need something. Have a list of your budget to keep you on track daily.

Hello and congratulations. I moved out for the first time when I was 18 years old. A friend of mine and I rented a place. The place cost us each $300 a month to maintain. It was a bit of a scary situation for me and I ended up making mistakes I regret. Well that being said, let me suggest to you a few things that will help you. First of all, after all the first expenses you have such as deposit, first and last month's rent, etc... After you take care of this, start saving as much as you can afford to save a week and keep it in a jar or what have you in a place only you know of. From the get to go, plan your meals for the week and take left overs to work, if you can carpool do so, if you ride a bus, try to find out rates on season passes or whatever they are called. Take good care of your clothes, and if you need more clothes check a second hand store before going to even a department store. If you don't need a t.v. package, don't use it, talk as little on the phone as possible, and if you can find the cheapest internet package without sacrificing quality. Turn off all lights, and unplug things when you're not at home, turn the air down so it won't come on during the day while you're not there...

VERY simple. The FIRST thing you need is a job. Any prospects ?
