Well I'm sorry to worry you but that is how long it is until Christmas Day!!!!!! Have any of you started making preperations for Christmas, I've not done a thing as yet but am just beginning to think about it and make a few decisions bout what I will buy. Every year I help Santa with his letters to children and believe it or not I have already had some orders and we are only just in August! The orders come earlier every year, I guess it's because it's first come first served!!!! Well that time will be differnt now won't it!! If you want to check I have left a Christmas Countdown counter on my profile page, so you can be reminded all the time how much time you have to the Christmas season!!

August is still to early a month for me to think about Christmas. Not just yet. I usually think about Christmas preparations after Halloween in November. That is the time I start decorating my house and doing my Christmas shopping list.

I never put my decorations up until in December, but with my letter business I have to start thinking early, each year people are earlier and earlier ordering their letters!!

I am in the process of geting some of my Christmas things done. I make a lot of hommade gifts and am hoping that I will start buying my materials. I am hoping to buy a new microwave so I can start my soap making. I am also making bath salts and will be selling those as well. I am also going to buy glass ornaments and put mosaic pieces on them.

Oh really so it's almost here I can't wait actually I have started to make preparations already like buying gifts for my parents and my baby sister. It will be my baby sisters first Christmas and also my puppies. Christmas is the time of year that brings everyone together it always makes me so happy and want to cry for joy. I really love that holiday I especially love how everything gets cheap and things are more affordable. I always love decorating the Christmas tree because it has to stand out and I love to help my mom put out the Christmas lights. I also help her cook because everybody is going to be hungry especially our relatives. I help her make tamales their really good and also pozele and enchillidas we basicly make all the mexican food. Still Christmas is always the best it makes everyone happy.I just feel like cheering on that day presents are nice to receive, but one gets a better feeling when giving away presents because you always feel happy that you have made somebody happy. Can't wait for Christmas so that all of us can be together and just be happy. Great discussion loved it anything that tells me that Christmas is near by is the best so thank you again for counting down. Now I'm going to start to count down.

Oh I feel excited when I read your topic I never notice its almost 100 days before Christmas. I still don't make preparation for Christmas but I wish it would be a merry Christmas for all of us hopefully it would be a one month no terrorist attack and killings a one month of peace. I just notice every Christmas the percentage of crime decrease I hope every time is Christmas.

That is a lovely thought, and you are right, Christmas changes most peoples views. In World War 1 on Christmas day the German's and English actually played football together instead of fighting - like you say it's a shame everyday can't be like Christmas in that way.

I don't start thinking about Christmas until after my daughter's birthday in October, then I know I have just over two months to get everything done and bought. This is usually enough time and means I can spread the cost out, buying small things each week and putting them away.

Oh, it's too soon for us to prepare! We'd like to keep the thrill until the Ber months. BUT, it's never too early for presents! Tell Santa we are now accepting bundles of joy!

Well, my daughter always complains cuz I start playing my Christmas music in September but I prefer to prepare ahead of time rather than rush around at the last minute scrambling for gifts. Last year I ordered some gifts in what I thought was plenty of time and they didn't arrive till after New Years! I was miffed! This year I think I'll stick to homemade items. At least I don't have to wait on them.
