I think students in in Korea are also very tired. I am teaching Koreans online and I have students in elementary and in middle school and they told me how hard it is to to be a student there cause they have to attend so many academies and even if its summer vacation in their country, they still have to go to school.

aha,i think most asian students'suffering is similar.yer,we should have two month off in summer, but many schools force students to have classes for month and a half, they completely go against the laws, but few people compaint it to courts, because most parents and students also want a bright future by their hard working.

Here is America I was in school about 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. Our summer break was three months. I think today the students are in school a little longer and the summer break is about 2 months.
The amount of homework for a student depended on the classes they were taking. For example, some students took more advanced classes and in turn would have more homework and papers to write.
I do not think our education system here in America is that great and some schools are better than others due to the neighborhood it is located in. Areas where more tax dollars are collected get better equipment and nicer schools. That is not to stay that a student cannot excel in a school that is in a poorer neighborhood though.
Today there is a rise in home schooling here in America. Some parents do not like the education system. I believe it is legal in most states and here in the state of Texas they do not even have to report to the state.
