Do you avoid going to see movies because of the kids there?

I like animated films but I usually avoid seeing them at the theater because of the amount of kids that will be there. I have tried to see these movies in the past and have had some bad experiences. So I usually wait for the DVD to come out and watch it in the comfort of my own home.

Watching movies in the theatres is an experience in itself. I love going to the theatre and watching them instead of at home. Especially animated ones. Myself, my husband and my kid make it a point to go for atleast two movies a month. And I dont find kids to be a hinderance at all!

There are kids shouting in the theatres where I go. But most of time, if the kids are not behaving well or crying, I see the parents taking them out of the hall. It usually happens only with small kids. The bigger ones either behave themselves once the movie starts or as you said make a nuisance of themselves. It is unavoidable. But that has never stopped me from going to the theatre with my family and friends.

Sometimes I don't go to animated films in the theater or PG films because of the kids in the theater. They talk, or kick my chair and then I feel like my $10-12 has been wasted because I couldn't enjoy the film. So either I go to the late late show or I wait until it comes out on DVD.
