Kids are only fun for the first 3 to 5 minutes

Don't get me wrong, I love kids. I think they are the cutest on earth. But most kids these days are rowdy and hard to control. I am not married but I have a 5 year old niece and a 2 year old nephew. Both of them never fail to make me smile but the trouble is after 3 to 5 minutes they start to annoy me.
I still love them to death but once I have my own kids I don't know if I will ever survive chasing them around round the clock. What are your thoughts on this?

I just love kids and find that the problem with the way they act nowadays as less to do if them and more to do with how they are raised. Parents let them do anything they want since the day they were born, so when they are 4 and 5 and so on they think the world revolves around them and everyone should cater to their wants and needs.
No I don't believe in beating or anything like that, but I do believe in discipline and respect for our elders.

Don't have kids. Though it's very different when they're your own. It takes much longer for them to annoy you. Plus, carrying a child for nine months, seeing them adorable and helpless right after birth, and watching them grow makes you a lot more tolerant of their exploration and consant activity and questioning.

Honestly, I can relate with some of your feelings. Except when I had nieces who were small near by I loved playing with them over my in-laws when they were around the oldest at that time as 5.
Now that I have my own they drive me batty. You know it's one thing when you can give them back it's another when they are yours 24/7.

I know exactly how you feel. I have a four year old niece and a 18 month old nephew. As for my nephew is very cute and makes me laugh, but after some time I am ready for him to go. My niece used to be this way too but as she has gotten older she is more well behaved for a longer period of time.
Just remember if and when you have children that you will be raising your own and can somewhat control their behavior more since you will be raising them.
