what level of traffic needed to earn with a blog?

Hi everyone,
I am relatively new to trying to earn money online. I have grasped that a key element is traffic through a website or blog that will generate advertising revenue. What I have struggled to find is information on the level of traffic that you need to earn any significant amount of money, or about the kind of 'significant' money it is possible to make. How possible is it to generate significant traffic. (I have a basic blog but so far have done very little with it.)
Any guidance you could offer would be great. Thanks!

I think you can join to many forum and publish your article in article directory. If you get more than 1000 visitor a day..that's nice

Blogging is one of the most popular way to earn money online. You have to need at least 300 unique visitors per day to earn some extra money. You can generate your blog traffic by commenting and social networking such as facebook and trwitter.
