I will never understand Mylot members!

I think in order to get responses, the topic has to generate some form of interest. If its not interesting, people may not respond. As for your friends, I faced the same problem, people do not stay online on Mylot all the time, some come and go. For me, once in a while. So I guess, its not the friends, I think its the topic that is the issue here. Like this topic you posted, its interesting, so you get responses. Cheers.

Mylot friends for me are of different kinds. Some of them have become personal friends (not more than 2 or 3), some other are people I like, someothers are friends with which I trade sites toearn more money. Then there are lots of so called friends who have asked me to be their friends and never say hi to me again. I don´t know why they asked it in the first place and I don´t care. I answer the posts I´m interested in, say hi to my personal friends as often as I can and that is all. This is too big a place to becone real friends with everyone.

Hi blue, I think I respond to enough of your discussions to fall into your friend category. That being said, I do have some friends on here that I rarely respond to their discussions. Why? Well because the ones they start, I just can't relate to or have nothing to add. Still, I will run into them on other discussions where we share mutual or sometimes opposing views so I still consider them my friends. And it works both ways. I have some friends that I don't think have ever or at least very rarely responded to my own discussions but like I said...I run into them in other discussions so it's all good. Every now and again, I go through and weed out some of my "friends". There are some that just are not active any longer so there is no point. As for deleting an account and starting up over....I have never done that so I have no answer for you on that one.

You should know that a online-friend is not a real friend,when they didn't respond your discussion ,maybe your discussion wasn't deal with their interest or they did't on line,or they had no time,these are normal.Be patient,if your discussion is interest,I think many mylot members will answer you,like now. Happy in mylot!

Hm....tough questions. I am trying not to expect too much out of my friends, here in myLot or elsewhere. When it comes to myLot....well, there are some friends who respond and some who don't and the same goes with me, I respond to some of my friends' discussions and some friends....well, I don't even read them as some of them are not really my interests. Cancelling the membership and starting over....I can't really answer that. I think that's to do with personal choice. I'm sure they have their reasons. A friendly advice: When you comment back on the responses you get, you are inspiring the responder to look out for your next discussion.

hi blue65packer! i know how you feel as i'm facing the same thing (even if i still consider myself as new here).there a some friends who are active on their early participation then they all gone.and some of them make so many discussions, i do response them but then no responds back from them.i am not very active in making discussion as i really love to give my feedbacks rather than start the new one so i am sending you my friend request and do accept me.i will try to answer your discussions then.

I totally agree with you.I have many friends listed but only a few respond to my posts. I have many , many interests so I can understand if not All my friends can relate to All of them. I have friends who have just disappeared. Every two months or so I weed out any " Friend " who hasn't been active in 2 or more months.I Have reinstated a friend. I thought she had gone but she came back . The moment i saw one of her posts I added her to my friends list.I am not curious. I just hope my friends can find something they like one of my posts and they can respond. If not? Why are we friends?

Please don't break your head much on this issue.. Friends here on mylot are not real life friends and when they get busy with other jobs, they forget about mylot and mylot friends. Moreover, all friends cannot be on line at the same time and therefore, they miss some of our discussions. All the best.

I have a lot of friends, and I know some are not here any more - and that makes me sad. I love it here so I don't understand why they leave. Tho, some come and go because of "real life" And the guy who is always quitting, you got me!

I never cancel anything. I have accounts all over town that I hardly ever visit, but I leave them up in case I want to come back. But some people get frustrated at things here, then they decide they miss their friends and they come back. I know a few who have done that.

I don't want you to feel bad if I don't respond very often.. so here is my reason. I am only on mylot in brief stints.. I come on for a month or so.. then I get bored or get obsessed with doing something else and Mylot falls by the wayside. When I am in that kind of mood I don't even check the mylot announcements very often. This happens to be not only an on month for me.. but I've also been on all night long... So Since I didn't miss this discussion. THIS is my response.. :-) And I think I know who you are talking about. And it's a question I have been wondering about myself... I don't understand the canceling and starting over of a new account.. .. Maybe it's for a change of pace. a fresh start...? Signed, Another enquiring mind.

well this is a virtual place.. people do in their leisure times.. u really cant expect much from people here.. they have got their real lives and there job and family.. which obviously comes first.. and they are bound to.. and yeah people are selfish not to forget.. but u kno its earth .. people think of themselves more than nything.. and everyone is living for himself..

There are so many members here eager for you to respond to their topics. The definition of a friend here is not the same as we would look at a friend in real life. I would rather that you do not look at who has put up a topic or who has responded to your topic but treat everyone here as members or users and this way you will not have reason to get upset. You are not on my friends' list but have responded to your topic.

I only get online a few days a week. I try to respond to the discussions made by my 'friends', but if I don't feel I have anything to add then I won't make a comment. I did see you started a discussion about golf, but, not knowing anything about golf, not caring about golf I decided not to make any comments about it. NFL football is my thing and I'll probably have alot to say about that as the weeks go on, but any other sports, not so much...

I really don't understand why some won't respond back, but maybe, they are like most of us, in that if it isn't interesting enough to respond to. I have lots of friends and most of them won't respond to my discussions either, but I certainly do understand though, as I don't always respond to theirs either, unless it is an interesting topic. I don't really start all that many discussions, but when I do, I do get responses, maybe not as many as I would like, but I am thankful for the ones who do respond. I do take the time to comment back to them as that is only being courteous and if I want to earn I need to do that anyway, as I am only paid for what I do and not what others do. Members on mylot will not always respond to all your discussions because they may be busy. Not even I can answer all my friends discussions, but still I love to have mylot friends because it's fun. I always like to check on the discussions that my friends start to see how interesting they can be and I will respond on their discussions at times, but not always.Don't get to upset over it I'm sure that you will meet some loyal mylot friends out here still I think taht everybody on mylot has their story and wants others to understand them. As for me I really like to share my discussions with others so that they can get to understand me a bit.

I admit I am one of those members you are talking about. I dont respond to my mylot friends here. As I dont find their discussions more interesting and I some of the discussion I also dont have any idea that is why I dont respond to their discussion.

Uhm, I don't know if I'm one of those, but I don't add people to be my friends and have no intentions too. I just want to make some money and get more ideas from people. People just add me and I approve them, it'd be useful to approve them because they'll also participate in my discussions. I don't understand what's up with the canceling of their membership. I don't really know what is your goal here in mylot, but just keep the friends and have fun with mylotting.

hahaha... don't break your head understanding mylot members as we know mylot members are individuals that have different characteristics and attitudes. some may be loyal to their friends and will try to follow every discussions their friends started, or some maybe just friend for convenience, or some just don't care.

Just don't bother to understand them, instead just continue with what you are now. I had one particular friend in mylot which starting like more than 10 discussions everyday but never respond to what others think of his discussions. And also some are just simply not even doing anything but rather messaging me to join their affiliate programs. Each human being have their own differences and purposes when joining mylot. I enjoy responding to the discussions that meet my taste and also starting a discussion that I might think it worth to share with. Understandable these people are sort of annoying at certain extend but somehow just don't take care of what they intend, instead just move on. They are just part of our surroundings.
