80 emails and counting...

it takes me an hour to clear my inbox i got a lot of messages sometimes i don't read some of them i just delete it right away haha.. but of course i respond first becfore i delete.

Wow, 80, that's a lot. I receive discussions my friends have started, best response notifiers and the Digest. That adds up to between 8 and 12 emails a day. It takes me ages to read through them all and most I can't think of a response to. I wish we received emails from our interests instead of friends. My friends and I don't necessarily share the same interests.

It takes me a could hours to go through my email. I don't get as many messages from mylot as you do, but I'm on a lot of other sites so I get a lot of email.

Oh yeah, I get overwhelmed with emails. So I have turned off most of my friends notices so I only get a very few select friends discussions in my email now. I mostly respond to the discussions in the mylot digests now. And the old ones at that. I only keep the digests in my email box and since I don't participate much anymore in mylot I have a lot of them. I like responding to the old discussions better because if they are against the rules and get deleted the discussion would be gone and then I wouldn't be wasting my time responding and then have it deleted. So I don't mind that right now I have over 2000 emails in my box as they are all mylot digests and eventually I will get to them and this site is the only site I use this email address for so it doesn't matter that it's full. I don't have to go through them looking for other emails.

I turned off all but the daily digest. :) So I only get 1 email per day just about. Sure I miss a lot of discussions that way, but right now I'm so busy with other things that MyLot has kind of taken a step back. I get about a hundred emails a day easily, so adding more to that can be a hassle. ;)

Yeah I also experience the same thing. I'm happy that many members and friends are interested to respond or comment on my posts. And I also do try to respond on my friends posted discussion. It's hard for me to clear all of it in my inbox because I'm really trying to reply all of it. I think one day is not enough to do so.:)

Good for you. At least you can have that luxury of time to mylotting. I really dont have much time but given just a little time I just peep in and say something to some discussions.

Haha, I just started on mylot and I'm starting to get hit by the emails! It's kinda useful, but at the same time I'm like stoppitt! I wanna reply. Hahaha. I'm not really overwhelmed quite yet, but again, I'm just a starter and I'm not really used to answering all these questions and responses so if the emails get really overwhelming I don't know what I'll do.

I don't get so much email. But I don't have time to get to them one by one. Though I should. And speaking of that, I think I should start now. Because this is what mylot is all about, interacting with fellow mylotters, answering discussions, and checking my email would help me a lot to do my purpose here.

I dont get as many emails as you get. I tend to be choosy in terms of responding to discussions hence i hardly get 10 emails from mylot everyday. If i respond to more discussions daily then i will surely get more emails. But it is good that i get few email so that i dont have to waste a lot of time checking all my emails. And also the more number of emails that i get the more time i will spend on mylot. so lesser the emails i get lesser the amount of time i spend on mylot.

I only read those messages that indicates that someone have replied to my posts. Using these emails, I can easily create a conversation with my respondents and eventually learning more about each others ideas.

I don't have many friends here in my lot so I don't receive a lot of emails just like you. I just share my opinions to the discussions that interest me.

Usually i receive 100 messages per day, it take some time to clear my inbox. From mylot i receive 30 maximum.

I am a new hand ,read and learn is my first task. such as earning is so far to me.

80 emails is really a big number. I'd never received as many notifications from mylot as that since I have only a few friends here. So it took me little time to go through all of them. But it has been quite a long time that I didn't receive any notifications from mylot and now I'm not bothered by checking the inbox everyday. Convenient as they were, too many notifications may disturb you a lot. I think you can unsubscribe some notifications from mylot, like messages which can be noticed as soon as you log in.

I never clean my inbox at all... its time consuming :-D

I like the e-mails because they annuce you new coments, new posts. For me, I like much the e-mail where appears the most important posts of every interest of the day. It´s very useful. But, when I recieve a lot of e-mail from MyLot, I delete some of them; If i have to read all them, i´ll get crazy!!!. :) . :D .

Better clear the check boxes in your settings. it will save ur time from deleting the mails.

Yes, everyday. It takes me about an hour when I first log in to clear my in box. Then throughout the day I try to check back and keep up. Not doing so would take me four to five hours a day just to respond and clear out in box. Guess maybe we should not respond so much to new discussions then we would not have so many, NOT. I enjoy it everyday.
