What on earth, this discussion has been reset with connection broke. whats going

I do not get noises with my reset. I had some trouble the last day or two. I did not know if it was my computer or the heat.

well, i was not on last night so im not sure what the problem was but yesterday morning, which is when i do my mylotting, mostly mornings. i did have a few times it didnt post and i had to start over. but the first time it does that to me, i then remember the best way is to copy it before you hit submit, then if you have to do over, you can paste it instead of typing out the whole dern thing again. every once in a while, this happens here. now, also next time you should turn off your sound so it doesnt mess with your nerves.

That would be irritating for sure. Are you sure this isn't your own personal connection? I doubt you are doing anything wrong. I just wonder if it isn't your internet connection giving you the problem. I hope you got it figured out. I hate computer problems! No fun at all.

It might be at your end I think Hatley, unless there was an issue here before I came online. I have not noticed anything like that happening today. It has happened in the past to me though. Hopefully it is better for you tomorrow. (which will probably be today I guess by the time that you read this!)

HI Hatley, I haven't been on today nor was I on too late last night and didn't hear that sound when I was on. But, I don't keep my speakers turned up either. I use earphones for jokes, music, etc cuz the sounds irritate hubbby. But, I think that is more your ISP........but not sure. Mylot did kinda mess me up with the searching tho yesterday and I sent an admin. They didn't answer me but I got a few cents there after ............ I am sorry I can't help out. Tell admin. maybe they'll help ya...........good luck and hugs a bunch. quita PS, sometimes when I respond and hit post response, it won't go thru GGGGRRRRRRRRRRR wonder why?

probably a connection problem at your end. I had been logged in for almost 4 hours already and i have yet to see the "reset" thing you encountered. There's a little lag before a post of mine gets through but other than that and mylot's warning that i'm abusing the search engine , everything's OK.

Hi Hatley, it's nine days later and I certainly can't remember any such irregularities occurring. I'm having trouble with my internet connection myself today. There is either no signal or a really weak signal ...so annoying. It seems to be OK for the moment however.

I have not had this problem tonight or any time that I remember. The only thing with me right now is ML is taking a long time to change pages or loading. The little wheel goes on forever then finally loads the next page.

I learned a long time ago if I researched long and composed a starting discussion of some length that took days to put together, save it in a file first, copy and paste it in, and then if the system resets (happens to me about every three or four days regularly) But when I forget and it happens, I just say "Screw it." such is life. i will survive.

I just moved to a new place which has wifi internet connection. Ive been having the reset problem since i moved here. Its really difficult to chat with all that going on too. Plus my home phone is a magic jack. That isnt always working good now either. Oh well its free and iam connected most of the time. Anyway everything is just for awhile. Things are changing all the time.

Hi That sounds more like a computer's or internet service provider's problem(I think you think so as well). Anyways, now when you have decided to go off for the day, have a sound sleep and hope it will all be sorted till morning. Good night.

It's been quite a while since I've had a problem with anything on the mylot end. To me, especially with the earsplitting sound that you are talking about, it sounds like it is a problem with your connection from your service provider. A pain in the rear end I know if this is the case (I've been through things like this before) but something that could be fixed with a simple phone call. If the problem persists then I would definitely call your ISP and see if it is some sort of a problem on their end.

Hiya Hatley, I have come across that too luckily it has not lost what I was doing as I persisted in till it came right again. Actually I would like to hear Mozart than that ear piercing shrieky noise it gives off but most times I have the sound turned off anyway but it has happened. Our Television looks like a it´s got the jitters every few minutes it´s cutting out too like it´s got stuck. Maybe it´s a general problem all over. Could be they are having problems with all those things that are up there above us who knows where they are those satellite things. Someone has not checked them over very well and they might need readjusting? Our Television Channels are much worse than before with this problem so it´s a bit annoying when just for once you get really interested in something it gets the jitters.

Hi Mrs Hatley, Oh no, computer problems again? I can imagine how frustrating it is for you, when you are just having a good time on the net, replying and speaking through your words when you get this interruption.

I have never gotten anything like that. I am sorry that I cannot help, but hope someone can.

It is maddening!! I have made thoughtful replies, long ones, only to be confronted by that screen and losing everything I have typed! I copy/paste before I hit submit. This site is the worst for that, I don't know why but it happens at least twice a week to me.

Hi Hatley, I don’t have a great deal to add to your discussion because I was here working away around the time you seem to have experienced these problems and I didn’t encounter any hassles; the fact that I’m in a different country has got a lot to do with it I’m sure (LOL)! I just dropped in to say hi and hope it’s all resolved for you. What I do experience on a regular basis here is my responses don’t go through and I have to keep on trying, no error message comes up…Fortunately I type everything on Word before pasting it to MyLot!

Ms. Hatley, apparently yes that had happened here! in the office i've got stable and stunning fast connection but at home with my laptop, sometimes i've got a choppy connection and i hate it! gosh, darn it! and that's the usual course i always mutter of course! and so i have to plug and unplug to re-establish my connection until stable. i have suspect regarding your hardware status there ms Hatley, please have it checked. it might be a flaky and it needs updates too. it might be over used!and just like mine, was overused and so was overheat! and so i got it fixed and working fine now...

Hi Hatley Last night i was engaged in a religious function at home, so i could not open mylot, i think the problem you face was due to some thing wrong with the computer, just now i rang to some mylot friends in my state and Philippines, they didn't have this problem..
