Naturally IE. At the time, I had just joined a course in Software languages (1998) and came to know about browsing; MS had already established its dominance over netscape and mosaic in the browser wars. And in my country, people started really becoming internet savvy only around 1994,95.
Here's a picture of the interface of the first internet browser:

Wow that is an interesting find. Thank you for sharing. I think IE was the second browser that I used, Netscape was only for a class at school come to think about it. Still that is a cool find for the original Internet browser. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Thanks, megamatt.
The Internet Browser I mentioned above, was the first, but the real First Global Web Browser was "NCSA Mosaic". So, I am right in my memory. Mosaic was closely followed by Internet Explorer of Microsoft.
All the best.

Yeah Internet explorer does seem to be a jumping on part. Given that it does come with most new computers as a default browser, it is just to be expected. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

We were using netscape in those days. :D i mean i do not remember that mozilla firefox was better then, but even if there was firefox, netscape was a more popular choice for computers as web browser back then... internet explorer was not even used ofter - for our case we rarely use it too thinking it was no better than the netscape, or that the browser is slower than it should be.

Mozilla Firefox might have been around, it might not of, but if it was, it had not really caught on. Netscape or Explorer were the two options, depending on what you preferred. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Yeah that was pretty much the choice for many people. They really knew nothing else than what they got with the windows. Therefore they had to use that. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

I used Pine, which was purely text. I'm not sure Netscape even existed then, but it was the one I used next. Netscape was the big one for a long time, but Internet Explorer eventually became much better and I used that one for years. Now it's Omniweb and Firefox for me.

I vaguely have heard of Pine. Never really used it but I have heard it mentioned. It is truly, browsers have evolved over the years, from one browser to the next. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.
