We Are Just Unlucky To Be Poor

For almost a month now of trying to get help for the surgery, we have already collected almost 20% of the total estimated cost. Still too far from it. But we are very hopeful to get at least 40 to 50 percent by next week, so that we can already set the date for the procedure.
We are very thankful to the Lord that you are there, supporting us with our prayers. I even said one time, if only prayers could pay the hospital bills, then I guess the surgery have long been done. But of course not, hospital is a business. And we are just unlucky that we need their help for our child and that we are poor.

I am so sorry for your challenges. I am very sorry for your child's illness. I will be praying very hard that God will touch the ones at the hospital and they will work with you even better. Keep you head up and don't give up. God is going to take care of all of you. God bless you!

Are you a member of a church? Usually a church can get funding for things. Aren't there any community places where you could get help. Is the community aware of your problem? Are you recycling and doing all you can at your end also? I wish you well and wish I had more ideas for you.

i may have been absent from the church for a long time but i never forget to call upon on Him and always give thanks. i know the church can do some help but they usually point us to the government agencies. i will not stop doing things that i can. i have just created a leaflet so i can distribute on the streets, which i already posted on facebook today.

Hi Neil,
It is so very sad that in this day and age it all about money/business in hospitals rather then a persons' health, health and welfare should come in first but then hospital needs money for the meds so its goes round, thank goodness our country has the National healt system and we don't have to worry about any medical treatment we have, if I can wave a magic wand, I'll all of you here and your little baby can have the treatment for free, Bless you and your family Neil, all I can do is pray for your little boy that he WILL GET HIS TREATMENT SOON!!! hugs.
Tamara

that's right letran, the amount we have now is better than nothing. and hopefully, it will grow even more next week.
i am also trying to put the paypal donate button within my sites so it will be easy to accept them.
about our possible donor, please don't take so much time with him. i even tried some other ways to get in touch with him but i still failed to get a response. maybe he is just so bust with his work so let us not bother him anymore. anyway, if he really wants to help, i guess, even on fb he will response.
well, being poor, i can say i am not one of the poorest. but to think about the surgery, if only i am rich, i could have not been here, begging for assistance.
i am always very thankful for all the help you have given me for our goal to see zayzay sleep better, normally like the other kids of his age.
God Bless.

It is very heart touching and I feel for you. There are different ways that I can recommend. I have read the discussions above and many have opined that you ask for donations - from your blog or otherwise.
I would also add that you can contact some NGOs at your locality for some monetary aid or even write to the government for help. I am sure you would find some solution to the problem soon.
I pray to the Lord for helping you out in this. Also please be strong enough to handle the family at such a crucial moment.
Take Care

i have already put a donation button on my blog but i don't have much followers and viewers. i have i can drag more traffic from FB. we are still trying some more ways to pick-up donors but more often, they are very skeptical. thanks you so much for the respond and the prayers.

pcso assists with the hospital bills but not with the scheduled surgery. it means that we have to be confined first and only request for their assistance when being discharged. we have to present to pcso the hospital bills.

I’m glad that you could arrange for at least 20% of the amount…maybe that will see you thru the initial expenses. All I can say that keep faith and don’t think of yourselves as unlucky..majority of us are poor and somehow we just manage to pull thru difficult times. I’m sure you too would have the strength to overcome this crisis.
