Have you experience being traitor?

I never had what I call best friend though I have had close friends. Not only don't I want to get betrayed, I also don't want to become a double-crosser and so, I'd rather have close and great friends than a best friend. I always believe that there's no such thing as best friends in the real world, there are only great friends. Best friend per se, is someone who can give you all the best things in life, someone who tries his/her best to not hurt you, someone who opts to lie to you to keep a friendship living. Many times, a best friend would rather tell other people about your unfavorable qualities because of fear that he/she might lose your friendship. A great friend is someone who can give you both the best and worst things in life, someone who can be honest enough to tell you the best and the worst things about you. You know, betrayal happens because we believe in best friendships. If we buy great friendships, if we think that honesty/transparency--that your friend can tell you who you are even how painful it is for you to hear such a thing--then betrayal wouldn't happen.
