i prefer them both as my source of carbs/energy as long the rice is brown rice or any organic rice and the bread is whole grain wheat bread....the problem with white rice and the regular white bread they are high glycemic carbs. meaning they are easily breakdown whick peaks our isulin/sugar..

Hmmm actually both contain carbohydrates. What we should count now is the carbohydrate intake that we should have either rice or bread so that we will know how many cups of rice or slices of bread we need to take that fits our body - the nutritionists can answer our queries about this.. :)

It all depends on if it is white rice or brown rice, white bread or whole grain bread. It depends on what you eat with it as well.Vegetables or meat, fatty spreads or low fat spreads.

Both of them are nutritional in their own way, they can't be compared for that matter.
They're both healthy, I like them both, combined with different things they're basically part of any meal in my opinion.

I was reading some article on loosing weight and it said that wheat is not good for losing weight whereas rice is good but in a small portion. Because rice is easy to breakup while digesting and hence does not take a long time. where as wheat takes a longtime to digest and cannot be detoxified easily. I was of the opinion that rice is a carb and hence it should be avoided, but thanks to this article now i have switched from wheat to rice and it is definitely helping.
