this day i am not in front of my computer. i moved back from the computer monitor to like 2 to 3 steps away from it. so i hope that it is help protect my eyes from the bad effect of looking too long at the monitor. i don't know if this one will help. as my vision got affected a lot negatively by using the computer daily for 8 hours a day and starting at the monitoring too closely at it. the monitor i am using is 18.5". with some distance away from the monitor i have to zoom in the web page so that i can see the letters or the words. as i could hardly read any thing from this distance. i would like to make it a habit to use this computer this way. hopefully my eyes can recover now

It seems that as the days go on and my financial situation is not improving I have had tendencies where I am getting closer and closer. You are right my eyes are being affected, although I can try and get further I do not believe I will be comfortable nor will I be able to see better. But I will try this is a good tip, thank you for that.

you can zoom in the web page so you can still see the words you are typing. i think it is not hard to do it. i think better stay away from computer monitor as early as possible to protect your early as early as possible.

yes carrots and blueberries will usually help us to improve our vision i will try to eat more carrots. blueberries are very expensive so i won't be able to eat that at all. there are many cheaper alternative to blueberries.

when I was a child my mother boiled blueberries jam, it was like a tradition. Now I may eat blueberries in the forest. If only there to go for a walk :-) but not be there often. Maybe a few times a year. I buy most often. My deterioration of vision only a year ago, maybe it's age, perhaps due to often look at a monitor. But blueberries, I not refuse.

That's a good-sized monitor. Some computers have special features, maybe yours does for enlarged print. You can check the settings and see. I hope your eyes recover, too. There are eye exercises that you can do. One method is called the See Clearly Method. But it's expensive, like hundred dollars or more. But interesting to research. You Eye Dr. might tell you some eye exercises, too. Take care and good luck.

It's hard to work them in, timewise, at first, until you get a routine going. It has helped me to avoid reading glasses and I'm 52. I originally started needing them at 45 years of age. But with exercises and rest, I am doing much better than when the words used to blur or I would see double. Good luck and persevere. Take care. Let us know how you do.

yeah i have heard of that exercises also in some radio that we can do improve the vision of our eyes but i rarely apply it as back then i have better vision. i guess i should do that now to see if it does help me to improve my vision. hopefully it does help me.

I had this problem too and I had to get computer eyeglasses. They help me see anything that is about 2 to 3 feet away like my computer screen. I also use them to read books. They have helped me a great deal with the eye strain and the slightly blurry vision.

Hi I used to sit really close to my monitor and got really bad eye ache along with migraines. Since that point I have moved further back from my screen and all the problems have cleared up

yeah it is better to move a bit further away from the computer monitor. it is more comfortable to our eyes if our eyes is not too close to the monitor.

Usually, I tend to put the computer monitor to a place where I can't see directly. You see, everyday I usually spend lots of time on surfing the Internet because I must keep updating my blogs and make money online. If the monitor is very close to me, for a long run, I will suffer a lot from it. Sitting in front of computer is really a difficulg thing because we have no chance to do exercises.

that is true. we tend to forget to do some thing important exercises cause we tend to put a lot in front of the computer. and sadly it also gives us bad effects to our eyes and that we noticed a big effect in our vision. so now i try to put less time looking at the monitor if i can't avoid using the computer . as it is important for us to surf the net too.

it is good that you are quite far from your monitor. i don't know if being too far away from monitor will prevent our eyes to get affected by the monitor. or if even from a safe distance that our eyes can still suffer some how by just looking at the monitor from few feet away.

Hello hotsummer, I can't help it but some how my eyes go near the monitor too much that my eyes kinda hurt. but consequences already happened when i had a medical examination. then ophthalmologist found out that i have problem with far sighted tha tihad to force to buy ten dollars worth of lower grade glasses, that's why it's hard to see the clock in the morning.

does being too close to the monitor makes the eye farsighted. i have problem seeing now most of the time. like my vision is kinda blurred. but if i rest my eyes for few days without looking at the monitor y vision gets to improved a lot . and so i think i better stop looking monitor too close. i have to make it a point to be some distance from the monitor and to at least look somewhere else while i am typing.

yeah it is important to rest our eyes often but i often forget that s i get too busy with what i am doing on the net as i am actually doing so many things on the net and i am racing against times often times and i had no time to rest my eyes. only when i really feel sleep i stop using the computer. anyways, i will try to take care of my eyes better now. i love the safe distance i have now. i think it is about 3 feet away from the monitor.
