I like Country music, real Country music. I'm irritated with these people talking about being Country fans when they listen to Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, and etc. Sure they're pretty and can sing, but its pop/alternative not COUNTRY!!! Is anyone else irritated with this also?

Not to be rude, but that makes absolutely no sense at all. It's one long sentence with no meaning or an intellectual statement.

I certainly do like listening to country music. I am a music addict, I would say. I listen to all kinds of songs and music, from my own country as well as from countries abroad. Country music, again from my country as well as from other countries, is my favorite. They are very unique and very different from other songs.

I use to listen to it back in the late 70's and early 80's, but only because my mother listened to it. I admit I am not a big fan of it. I have heard some songs from these people you mentioned and they do not really seem country to me. I have branched out into foriegn music now. I also enjoy listening to movie scores and classical music.

No, I'm not irritated. I'm with you though that some of their songs are pop. Actually, they are country artists because majority of their songs are country. It's just that they have songs which are a mixture of pop and country like LeAnn Rimes. Anyway, I don't think there's anything wrong with liking country music and being a fan of Carrie Underwood or Taylor Swift. Let's just let them be fans of whoever or whatever they want.
