Maybe that happen a lot to public, now Western Union taking the duty to warn its customers try to send money to someone you don't know so well. Although their online and money transfer service is convenient, but they would rather you have your money safe and transfer it to someone you can trust to deal with. That is a great business practice though. I absolutely agree with them. If by any chance you will do transaction by using Western Union, do consider your situation before you send out your valuable money. http://www.westernunion.com/WUCOMWEB/staticMid.do?method=load&pagename=fraudIndex&pid=fraud0709

Yes, even in their paper forms that you fill up when you actually send money to somebody, you will see those warnings printed in their forms. That's good way to remind people not to easily send money to strangers of questionable identity.

There are a lot of scams coming out of The country of Nigeria. There are men there (sometimes women) claiming to be either European or America men on a business trips and they will request money be sent via Western Union from women they strike up relationships with. They promise to pay them back, but they don't of course. This happened to someone I know and I learned quite a bit about it. Never send money to someone you do not know personally!

Never trust them, and you don't know them. Why won't you send money to someone you don't even know right?

I think they posted it because Western Union is the name that always comes up on internet scams as the way to send money to the scammers, I think they got sick of it and so they decided to do something about it.
