why do we take a sniff of something people tell us is horrible? often we get 'offered' the offensive item/perfumed wrist/food with the warning ,take a whiff of this it's really bad' and we are only too happy to oblige before ejecting agreeing moans and comments. why?

LOL! Partially its our nature to want to know what the person is talking about. Our mind is saying, it probably isn't that bad and then it really is.

Haha! This reminds me of facebook groups that say, "Oh my god, this tastes disgusting, try it!" With over 500,000 people who like it and agree that they have done that or experienced it before it. Most of the time it's because they can not believe that anything could smell or taste so disgusting and foul that they want to share it, and you'll be so curious as to how disgusting it smells that you will go forward and smell it. XD

That is the way human beings are. We cannot simply answer without knowing for ourselves if we agree or disagree. God have given us 5 senses so we better use it. Otherwise, it will no longer be as functional as when we use it often. It would be a waste of natural resources.
