The harry potter final installment is now going to be in cinemas but there are a lot of fans out there who are really going crazy about the movie being split in two? why now? who are those willing to have the movie split? or all scenes just placed in one full movie? I recommend you read the book first before watching so as not to have no-no's or any disappointment when you watch it. Ive watched the trailer, relly-- the scence can be heartfelt. I heard that the 19 years after life with Ginny weasly will be very exciting.

I dont want to have split, I dont have all the graces to watch another movie. I hope they make it in one movie. I might get confused especially me I have not read the book 6 and the rest.

yeah a disadvantage is that, the duration of the 1st part and second part is about 6 mos? isn't that too long.

The reason why this film was split into two is because the last book is almost a two part story. It's so long they wouldn't be doing the book any justice if they kept it as one film.

It should be a good film. Hey, anything that isn't Twilight is usually a good film.

The Harry Potter not only attract people by its story, but also the amazing details about the magic world. Everytime when I watch the movies, I complainde about the abrigement of the details. However, there is no better way to present, since a watching a movie hours while reading the books takes days. As for this reason, I am very appreciate the split, expect the movie!

I am not sure of the reason why they have to split the movie into two but I think they are doing that to give more details into the movie. The previous movies were cut short and not too detailed so I hope that by splitting the movie into two, it is going to be as exciting as the book.

If you've read Book 7 then you'll understand why it has to be split into two movies. Book 7 is so action packed like there are so many things happening in every chapter. It will be a great disappointment for the fans if most of these scenes will be cut just to compress the entire book into 1 movie. I'm really looking forward to the two installments.

I was a little disappointed with the last movie, they changed so much. I am really hoping they are going to do an excellent job with the final movie.

I think they have split it into 2 because it's such a long book, with a lot of different elements to the story. All of it would be too much to put into just one movie, or if they did, it would be VERY long. I think that's why they've decided to split it into two different films.

Two reasons - they can include more of the books into two movies than one and they will make more money.

Just so they can make the most out of the last book. there aren't any more films to release so they want to earn more by splitting it into two.

Because the movie was too long they decided to split it in 2 and also to include more from the story. It a little bad that you'll have to wait more for the second part but at least they have more time to do a wonderful job....Or you would've prefer to watch a 4 hours movie? :))

They split the movie in half because they didn't want to leave anything out.

If you ask me its better to watch the movie and then read. Because otherwise you could or not become desapointed since theres no movie out there that can ever win over the imagination of the reader.

I am a huge harry potter fan and i always have but i think the reason is because that the first one is like 3 hours and and the 2nd part is like is also 3 hours. But what if u need to use the bathroom if the movie was the 6 hour heck i would probably get bored and or impatient

I read all of the books a couple of summers ago and wondered, weary-eyed as I finished the 'Deathly Hallows', how it would be adapted into a film. I think revenue is up there - 2 blockbusters earn more than one, especially as this is the last one. However I think the main reason is Rowling's desire for the films to be as book-accurate as possible - hence the, in my opinion, overly long films. Don't get me wrong, they're all good movies but I think that in order to include the most information from the books, she felt 2 movies was the only way. (A 4 hour movie DEFINITELY wouldn't hold my attention :) I hope the film is as good as the end of the series and the trailer I've seen.

I'm not against the last book being split into two parts. I was often disappointed when a lot of left out of the other movies. But it just seems like such a long wait between movie 6 and part 1 of movie 7. I wonder why the time is so long. I suppose it has something to do with being able to make more money.

I am not quite sure why the fans shouldn't be against splitting the last film into two parts? It's a good thing that the film version of the last book is going to be released in two parts. It would give the series a good ending as the director and script writer would have been able to add more content into the film from the book, than the past films. I have always felt that the Harry Potter films always was forced to remove important stuff from the books because of time limitation in a film. Now, this won't be the case with the last film

I think splitting the movie in two parts isn't a bad idea after all. You're right, with that way of releasing the movie, important stuff from the book will not be deleted ;)

I think that the movie is split in two because it's the last one. They want to make in longer and they have to split it. Also, it's the last and they want more profits, so they split it.
