Most of us here are Christians I believe and some Christians are claiming to be one even without really practicing it in their daily lives.., Some are too busy to drop by their churches and even open the Bible and read a few verses.., Most people don't do that.., and some Christians can't even recall when was the last time they visited the church to hear God's word.., are you one of these so-called Christians? or are you one of the few dedicated Christians who goes to church regularly and make it a part of their routines?? Be honest and reflect on this..=)

The third commandment states Keep holy the Sabbath day. That means God wants a date with us on the day of rest. That is just one hour a week. So why not keep the date.
I am not one of the few dedicated Christians. The church is always full, SRO actually. The attendance is not routine either. It is spiritually like a feast, the people gathering together in God's weekly party.

i agree with you with keeping the third commandment.., but i believe it is not our mere attendance or the literal meaning of just going to church physically that would please God.., I believe in the deeper sense of the phrase "going to church"...God bLess us..=)

This is true. We do not just go there to hear mass. We attend because we wanted a meaningful conversation with the Lord. This is the time to ask for forgiveness, thank Him for all the blessings , and worship. Unfortunately for us, that is not the case. :-(

For now, just going to church is all right. Many people go to a party not knowing what it is for. It is only when the celebrator emerges that they marvel at the whole meaning of the party. The Celebrator of the mass makes the difference. When He wants someone to feel Him, the attendee could not escape. The important thing is that the date was kept and the guest had the chance to be with the Host.

My family and I always attend Sunday mass. That was the way our parents brought us up. If I can have time to attend other activities and parties, why can't I go to a 1 hour "party" with the Lord? I don't want to sound like somebody with a "holier than thou" attitude but really sunday mass means so much for us. I do sometimes feel sad because some of us who go to mass just attend for the sake of complying to their sunday obligation. If you look around during the service, a few are ready to go to "dreamworld", some teenagers are chatting and some are even using their cell phones. Some even arrive so late that they already missed half of the service.

I'm a catholic and I always see to it that I go to mass every Sunday. It's been a part of my upbringing. I remember, there was a period in my life that I would make up many excuses not to go to mass on Sunday. I keep on thinking that I don't need to go since I can pray by myself. But later I realize that I haven't even been praying anymore. So I started to go back to attend Sunday mass and keep my line of communication with God through my daily prayers. I go to church when I'm happy and when I'm sad.
