Exercise and low fat diet good idea in loosing weight...

A lot of people was very dispirit of loosing weight including my self. My friends told me that I'm already near to obesity and it can may lead to major diseases like hypertension. Some teases me because of my body figure..Until i saw in television, a doctor recommends exercise and a low fat diet can make you loose weight. From then i was oblige to have my regular exercise every morning and i only eat low fat and high fiber foods.I also avoid sweets and less carbohydrate. After 5 months of doing so i loose almost 4 pounds of my weight and still want to loose it more...:)

Congrats! I know it's really hard to loose wait because there are lots of delicious foods out there. Me,I want to gain wait, even I eat a lot nothing happens may be because of my fast metabolism. Just continue your regular exercise and until you become sexy and health.:)

thanks...even i'm targeting loose weight i still don't deprive my self to eat delicious foods...with limitation

Oh goodness, people - SEE A DOCTOR FIRST! Not unless your "friends" went through medical school and gave you a thorough exam to eliminate any other causes of whatever is ailing you. A doctor on television is not a doctor, but a salesperson. SEE A DOCTOR FIRST! Sorry, I know I am yelling, but I tell this to people over and over and over again. Putting your faith on your non-doctor friends and especially in television is not a thorough exam to see the entire picture. One needs to see a doctor before starting any exercise program, or drastically changing one's food behaviors. Geeze, I hope my account isn't deleted because I keep repeating this, but with so many duplicated discussions, I feel obligated to stop all this unqualified medical discussion. See a doctor first, and follow the doctor's orders. Get a second opinion if necessary. but just don't follow people's advice whose only qualifications is reading articles on the internet.

Don't worry i only do simple exercise like walking at the park in the morning and some sit ups..i don't do stannous exercises just to lower down my weight It will make me sick.

well.., exercising is the healthiest way of losing weight.., there is no disadvantage on that.., while eating less fat can be healthy as long as you still take in enough amount of fat that your body needs.., fat has it's own uses in our bodily functions.., you lose some pounds.., so it was effective.., and if you wanna lose more then go ahead maintain your routine until you reach your ideal weight..=) good luck!

yes ,i do agree with excise can loose weight.but you must insist ,if you do exercise for a period time ,then stop ,your weight will re-up again. so ,you must continue your exercise and another way to loose weight ,you can try eat cucumber without but when eating ,do not eat other things ,after at least 1 hour (the time you can confirm it ,i cann't remember it clearly) this way is proved by some of my friends....

Lose of Weight To lose one pound of fat, you must burn approximately 3500 calories over and above what you already burn during daily activities. That sounds like a lot of calories and you certainly wouldn't want to try to burn 3500 calories in one day. However, by talking it step-step , you can determine just what you need to do each day to burn or cut those extra calories.

hey are these people really friends? they need to be helping you and building your self esteem not helping knock you down. i am overweight but hate to diet as you constantly think of food and feel deprived. over the last few months i have taken up swimming at my local gym and joined aqua aerobics and tai chi. the secret with exercise is to enjoy it and i am having a great time going at least 3 times a week. i have made so many new friends, even bought a new swimming costume and am happy to say have already lost 9 pounds. so well done you for already loosing 4 pounds but if you want to keep anything going then make things fun!

First, congratulations on beginning the war! However you want to go to your doctor and get a recommendation for a good dietitian. You will learn how never to go hungry, how you do not have to eliminate any food and get tips and tricks to get the most out of exercise and not work up to much of a sweat. I have type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I can still have ice cream, whole milk, and margarine and bread! I get blood tests once every three months for now to double check that everything is going in the direction I'm aiming for. I loose about 4 lbs. every 6 months. Good for you!

Congratulations! I too had problems with my weight. When I was pregnant, my blood sugar went up because of my food cravings. My doctor advised me to diet and I consulted a dietitian to guide me. She created a meal plan for me with 3 meals and 3 snacks spaced 3 hours apart. She said that the trick in dieting is eating in small portions but frequently. I'm not allowed to skip any meal or snack to ensure proper nutrition for both me and the baby. The diet worked. My blood sugar was controlled and normal and I loose weight too (mommy fat). I plan to continue the diet and loose more weight. Good luck to us!

Congrats to u upon taking your very first step to losing weight because that's very important! Good for u!! In order for one to lose weight, determination is important other than just diet and exercises. One mistake that moat people make is, cutting down on the amount of food. That's just so wrong. One can be losing weight even if they are still eating the same amount. The only difference is, breaking them up into smaller meals each time rather than having 3-4 huge meals a day. Drinking lots of water is equally important too because it aids in the metabolism, helping us to digest the food, giving us a sense of bloatedness so we end up eating lesser. Lastly, exercise is a must but do remember to start slow, only increase the intensity over time to suit one's need.
