As same-s.e.x marriage is at its peak, are you in favor or not?

Legalization of same-s.e.x marriage is popular nowadays throughout the world. To name a few, this has been legalized in other states like Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Massachusettes, Maine, Vermont and Iowa. Moreover in Germany, they passed legislation recognizing same-s.e.x unions. In India and Philippines, this has been a popular subject among the third-s.e.x community. On the other hand, moralist opposed same-s.e.x marriage branding it as immoral, unnatural, and not based on religion. In modern understandings of psychiatry and psychology, they no longer view h.o.m.o.s.e.x.u.a.l.i.t.y. as a disease or disorder. Thus, they view opposition to same-s.e.x marriage as unscientific and based on prejudice alone. As same-s.e.x marriage is at its peak, h.o.m.o.s.e.x.u.a.l.s invoked their right to equality before the law. How would you then reconcile equality before the law on same-s.e.x marriage? Are you in favor or not?

I am all for it. They deserve the same rights as any other couple. I think people would better spend their energy and time on what goes on in their own relationships and not worry so much about what other couples are doing.

I am in favor with it. Those people have the right to be happy too like us who fall on a male and female gender. I have a friend who is now engaged to a great man,and I see that both of them are happy with what they are doing so why wouldn't I be happy for them. They should go for it. It is their lives and they have full right on whatever they want to do. I suggested them to leave the judgmental brains behind.

everyone has the right to be happy and make a choice, so if gays want to get married as much as straight people want to, then let them. it's their life, their choice, their happiness. it's not like they're gonna commit murders or anything heinous or wrongful to the rest of the world when they get married. i find it shallow when some people think about homosexual marriage as an act of disrespect to the rest of the mainstream society--they, too, are part of the mainstream society, they just happen to fall in love with people of the same gender.

I believe that same-s.e.x marriage is a wonderful thing to finally be accepted. And h.o.m.o.s.e.x.u.a.l.i.t.y was taken off the list of diseases and disorders in 1980, so that was a good 30 years ago, so it's not exactly modern. People are luckily starting to accept them more, and I think it's great thing, honestly. If two people were in love and had been together for more than 40 years, and one of them were struck deathly ill, two partners who just so happened to be of the same gender couldn't visit their loved one because they weren't married. The sad thing was, most of them would have gotten married if they had a chance. Luckily, I believe this isn't around anymore, but when it was it was depressing and just not fair.

I beleive that if you truely love someone it shouldn't matter if it is legal by the state or not, but I also beleive that you should have the right to marry someone if you love them. It's kinda funny I'm straight and the last thing I want to do is get married!
