broken promises

As a child, my parents made promises and somehow they were able to make good what were promised more often than not. I grew up hanging on to words of promises made to me by people. Sometimes, their promises are kept but most often, promises made were broken. In spite of all broken promises, I have still this hope that people make good what was promised. The ultimate optimist, I am afraid. LOL!
How about you? What do you do when promises made to you are broken?

If someone broke a promise to me, it's okay. If they do that for the second time, I'll start to complain to them, and if they do that for the third time, I will never ever trust them again. I have a classmate who always tells lies, no one at my class like her. That's how it work for someone who broke promises.

That is what happens when a person breaks a promise more than often. One tends to lose faith and trust in that person. And if there is no trust, it will be a difficult relationship with a person.

I get hurt and cry when my parents don't fulfill their promises when i was a child. But now that im older and the knowledge to understand things, I just turn the unfulfilled promises positively so i won't get hurt or cry. I try to understand the people who don't fulfill their promises actually..I just need to be patient sometimes for one to fulfill his/her promise to me.

We do try to process our own hurts. But sometimes it really is a big disappointment when one does not fulfill promises made. Sometimes it affects how we look at a person. But I like your positive attitude.
