Lately, I felt that I want to give up my work and wanted to go home. I don't know what happen to me, some of my friends told me that I am feeling homesick that is why I want to go home. I am not enjoying my work anymore.
Is this what we felt if we are homesick? Lots of co-associates advised me to be relax and have fun mingle with them so that I can't think my family in our country. I am hoping I can cope this feeling of loneliness and homesick.

No. When I have my contract with my employer I want to finish that first. I also felt that feeling when you want to leave your job because you are so bored but you have to think that everything in this world is not free. We have a lot of things to pay and there are lot of things that we need in our everyday life so I guess that leaving your job will not be helpful.

hi july teen it does indeed sound like homesickness, but could
you find work at the same wages at Home? I see a lot of filippinos who go to other countries to work, why not work at home instead? if you cannot afford that then you must find a way to relax and refresh yourself to continue earning better where you are. I am sad to think so many of
your countrymen also have to leave to find decent jobs thats just not right.

Hello July,
i believe you should take a big break and relax, that's probably the reason why you are sad now, is because you are stressed and home sick. you might surely regret it if you come home now, knowing that there isn't much job in the Philippines.
you know i allowed myself to be tempted by that and LOOK AT ME now. so, i suggest you relax, have fun, take a day off and when you come back am sure you'll be refreshed.

Your right my friend but it's hard to apply for 3days off here. Unless you are sick the company will grant you a sick leave but if you felt better you are force to render or do your job daily. Until now I am still doubts about my feeling with regards to homesickness. I have no choice except to wait my dayoff so I can relax for the whole day spending time lying on bed and sleep.

Yes. During my first month in my present job, I feel like giving up cause I feel that I don't have my heart in my work. Now, I am coping up with my new environment and I am still thinking until when I will stay here.I am feeling better now but I feel that I still have to do what is really in my heart which is not my present job.

No, I don't think I want to give up my work...I know I do! Unfortunately, I can't. Not unless I find a better job or come into a lot of money. On the plus side, at least it's close to home. I couldn't image working far away and being away from my family, even if they do drive me nuts sometimes! LOL
Happy mylotting!

howdy... hope you are feeling better now..
i think it is pretty normal for us to be homesick, when being away from our homeland..
i remember when i was studying abroad, i felt homesick a few times.. didnt feel like going to class, just lazed around thinking about my family at home.. and being a student, i couldnt afford to just fly home for visits.. so, i did the next best thing - i called home a lot... spoke to mom a lot.. and she was always so supportive, encouraging.. telling to stop so depressed, and get back to studying, graduate and come home.. that really helped a lot...
freinds helped a lot, too... they were all very understanding and supportive as well.. all helped me with the studies i had missed,.. always keeping me company.. always checking out on me..
i guess it was just a some 'phase' that you have to go thru...
and i am sure, you'll get over it as well.. you sounded like you have a good circle of friends.. and i am sure they'll also help you thru this..
take care + best wishes..

I think that's happening to me also but I can be with my family so its definitely not a feeling of homesick person.
I think its about how fulfilling is your job to you as a person. In my situation, my current job is totally not meeting my degree qualification so I felt that I'm losing my potentials and productivity doing my job.
I think you evaluate more and think if money can bring you the satisfaction that you want in life.

I think of giving up my job day and night.Because I have a dream to fulfill that is studying abroad. However,I am not ready so far.If I lost my job now, I will lose my income,so what's wiser, I have beeing preparing my plan to go abroad for a long time. When I got the offer from my object university I will give up my work without hesitation.
In one's life,he or she should balance in choice. If you have got a good job, please cherish it then make it better.

yap, that is really part of the journey in working outside the country jul. One of my friend who had just flown and work at Quatar also rely to me same sentiments. He even mention crying for almost two weeks because of homesickness and newness of the working environment.
Hope our country will be able to raised soon so we don't need to go to other country just to work. One day, in God's timing and with the cooperation of our countrymen. The our common dreams will come to pass.
Take some rest and unwind a little bit. Stay focus and pray. When you can saved enough you can then start a company of your own in our country. Best wishes bro!
