I try to keep in touch with my friends here in my own country and abroad. Whenever there is the time, we spend time talking on the telephone. Using phone cards is a good way, keeping the charges low. But, with the limitations in the time available, and with the convenient times different in different time zones, emailing has become my favorite way of keeping in touch. How about for you ? What is your favorite way of keeping in touch with friends ?

Hi there! My favorite way to keep in touch with my friend before was thru the help of snail mail, i just love to wrote them letters or cards and land line telephone, would you believe! Now, since technology began to evolved, my latest means to communicate with them is thru e-mail, cellular phone and facebook chat! From these, i was able to maintain and kept our friendships strong and lasting as ever. Good night!

texting its an easy way to keep on touch with my friend and relatives, compare before were using mail, or post card, it will take days to receive your message, thanks to the latest technology it only take seconds using your finger to send them messages and to call them, keeping the people closer together is a lot more easier now!!!!

My favorite way to keep in touch is via email. One of our kids lives in a different time zone and has kids therefore she's on a different schedule and busy. We do talk on the phone but not that often. I also keep in touch with our other kids online, who live in our area, and friends. It's my opinion that people can read their emails at whatever time is convenient and don't have to be bothered with annoying calls if they have more important things to do. It works very well for me.

That is perfectly right. I agree with you. Email is an excellent way. They can open and read it any time convenient to them. No disturbance at all. Moreover, emailing is the fastest way to reach to friends and relatives.

I, too, prefer e-mail to keep in touch with friends, even some who live nearby. However, I do have a couple of friends who do not have computers. so I have to fall back on snail mail. My daughter would be glad to hear that. She works for the post office, and they have all employees trying to drum up business.

Oh yeah, I rarely use snail mail these days. I send snail mails only to send greeting cards and birthday cards to relatives and friends. Mostly, email is the way I use to keep in touch. That is a very convenient and fastest way.

I keep in touch with my friends through social network website. it is really convenient that we do not need to spend a single cent. i often send some private message on Facebook to my friends, so that i know how they are lately. i used to call friends through cellphone, but kind of worry my phone bills, i scare i'm going to spend a lot on my phone bill, because my friends and i are talkative one and we just don't know how to stop after making a phone call. perhaps writing an email or message will be the best way for me to keep in touch with my friends.

Oh yes, talking on cellphones can be very expensive. When traveling, there is the roaming fee too, which is really high. Social networking site allows receiving responses right a way, almost like talking face to face. I talk to friends on the social networks some times too.

So far I don't have any friends abroad so there is no problem of time limit whenever I get time I call to them over the phone or smsing and know what are they doing now and where are they now. This is the way I keep in touch with them

I see. Do you use skype ? For me, when phoning relatives and friends far away, I often use phonecards. That is a very economical way these days.

I am away from my friends and family because I am working abroad. Keeping in touch with my friends is a hard way before but now no bounderies at all. Before I left I bought a roaming number that even I am away with my friends they can still send me a text messages everyday that worth only a single peso as like before when I was in my country.
Another way of communicating my friends is through facebook, we always send messaged on the site everyday depending on their free time. So far, I didn't felt any loneliness with regards to my friends because we always communicate. Because of the technology miles will become meter already.

$ 200 bill ? Oh, that is very costly, indeed ! Yes, that's the reason I mostly use emails wherever possible. For other places, phonecards is the best option. One can be talking for two hours for just $ 5.

I really enjoy texting and email, but lately facebook has become so convenient to keep in touch with all of my friends and family. I wasn't a big fan of it at first because it has so man applications and links that take you all over, but I've slowly become more attached to it.

In my mind, i 'd like to contract with my friends by meeting them and talking face to face. While, if my friends is out of my touch, i 'll prefer a e-mail or a real mail to get in touch with them. I've found than in nowadays the communiction is more and more convient while we do not always contract our friends, even we could just send a MSN or QQ message. Sometimes i really have in doubt that our world will keep cold for ever not for the climate but the relations of us all.
Finnally, as a friend, send me a message or let me know your e-mail or MSN, then i'll contract with you.

Yes, I understand what you mean. It is good to hear the voice of the friend or the relative. That's what makes talking on the phone different from emailing. Do you use phonecards too ?

I also like emails...in my country local calls are so cheap so I can also call my friends or sms them but international calls are so expensive...so most of the time friends living abroad call me as it is somehow reasonable for them. But I think the best way to stay connected is social networks like Facebook, Myspace, or mylot also.
Now life is so busy so most of the time I don't get time to write emails except some business emails besides my school works, term paper, assignments, or projects. So I always feel bored typing on keyboard and say hello....
I used to login on FB and get all the recent informations of my friends, it doesn't matter where they live. I regularly get notification when something new happens. I think its awesome...I sometimes send them pm or just write on their wall and say hello, or wish their birthday even send e-cards...its so easy to keep contact and be in touch through these social networks...I just love it...I can save my times..

Oh yes, making overseas phone calls can be very expensive. So, I use phonecards for overseas calling. If possible, I mainly use email to keep in touch. Does QQ work for overseas chat too ?

Well, I can say that my favorite way of keeping in touch with my friends is through using my cellphones and computer. I sent them messages using those technology. Sometimes I use to visit them, but in today's generations where people tend to do so many things and they haven't have that much time to connect with others because of their careers, I just call them and send simple messages just to remind them that I care.

That is excellent. They all will be so happy to hear that you care. That is the value of keeping in touch with relatives and friends. Cellphones and emails are the best ways these days to keep in touch, indeed.
