spiritualists so misunderstood.

many saints saw angels , spoke to god and had visions. jesus came back from the dead , spoke and appeared to friends and relatives.in his parents lives they too had visions. spiritualism is a recognised religion with one spirit, mother father god. it is a religion of love so why are spiritualists so misunderstood because they believe in the concept of finding proof that there is a life after 'death' by mediumship.

I have a sneaking suspicion that people who don't understand someone who is spiritual has never FELT the presence of God (God is whatever God is for you. I am not referencing any specific religion). they have never experienced the true presence, and so are clinging to the words, the practices, the prayers, and the laws because it's the only thing they know how to do. I PRAY for those who have not had a personal divine intervention, because I think it's important for you to have a spiritual side, to be able to meditate and talk to God, and to be able to live your life truly knowing that you are trying your best.

Hi gnomeland, I think that it may be because many people don't trust mediums and also because the Bible warns against it. Leviticus 19:31 and 20:10-13 are but two of several examples. Those who don't necessarily believe the Bible, feel that many mediums just take advantage of people and are just out to get their money. Personally, I have nothing against Spiritualists and believe that at least some mediums may be genuine and all church take money from their followers. As for the Bible, there is no way that it can be taken literally. Blessings.

hi pose123, although we encourage study of our religion and understanding of others and we celebrate jesus's birthday , easter (in england) and harvest we have no hard and fast rules in our religion just 7 principles which are guide lines for our life. we are encouraged to have freewill and question our religion because it is not only thought of as a religion but a science too. thankyou for your opinion it was good to 'talk'.

By all means explore. Realize you will find people who are not honest. On the other hand, religion is full of such people as well. One must always question everything. Search for facts rather than beliefs. You will discover more truth that way.

hi bird 123,that is so true and we never take an invited medium on face value or by reputation. they are here to give us proof from our loved ones only as a link to afterlife rather like a telephone. we are always searching for proof of our religion and not just wanting blind faith. thankyou.
