I did have this experience when i watch some horror movies and especially Final Destination. In fact i was haunted in morning also after seeing the Final Destination movie. So i stopped watching horror and some bloodshed movies like that. Apart from that if i see some accidents, i get disturbed by that too. I am a good believer and i always have some snaps of GOD in and around my room. Many of my friends also had a nightmare after seeing Final destination. Even though it is a movie and we enjoy it at that moment some memories dont go and haunt us in dreams. Share your thoughts on the same.

Hello xorticanz,
I get really weird dreams at times, none of them you would want to talk about. I have never woken up from my nightmares but they have disturbed me in my sleep. I have had some of the ghastliest dreams recently, after watching some gross thriller movie. I don't get nightmares about ghosts and stuffs, i get really gross dreams and i hate them. I am lucky i haven't seen a major accident scene, that would disturb me. We should not be seeing too many of those scary movies, takes away our imaginations at times.

Hiya xorti,
Maybe "Titanic" gave me one or two nightmares but no other so called Horror Movies as they don´t bother me because I know also they are not real. Whereas the "Titanic" was real and can happen again that´s the difference.
I think "Freddy" is quite funny I can´t take those kind of Films seriously. I enjoy watching them but they don´t give me nightmares ever only that one Film I mentioned up there "Titanic".

I try not to watch too scary of a movie before bedtime. i tell myself it won't affect me, but it does. Scary movies can givre nightmares and disturb a night of sleep. Horror movies are my favorites and I enjoy watching them. If i watch one late at night, I have to watch something lighter before i go to bed. I don't like falling to sleep with visions of a scary film still on my mind.

I did watch all the final destination movies --- but never got disturbed.however the scenes in these movies are too gore and can freak people out easily.those were good thrillers though they keep you on toes and damn you never know as which scene is in accordance with the story --- kinda confused when i watched the first one.great day.

I regretted watching the Resident Evil movie marathon we held at home. I got nightmares for a few days after that. Still do, sometimes.

I have been bothered by some nightmares, but it not really often. These nightmares are the real things that are happening to me at that moment when I was sleeping. There was a time when I was having a nightmare that someone was choking me, and I woke up and found out that my husband's arm was on my neck.

I'm frequently having nightmares. And some of them were caused by horror movies which I couldn't stop myself from thinking about. I enjoyed the movie and I know that they are not real. It's just that I can't help myself from wondering what would happen if the concept presented in the movie is true?
Anyway, what I do whenever I have theses nightmares is I just ignore them and I try to read books with light stories.

I had a few nightmares once in a while but it comes randomly.., I don't get nightmares from watching horror or too bloody movies.. In fact I love to watch those kinds of movies.., It entertains me.. and I prefer to watch it at night.., to make it more scarier...! But I never witnessed any real life accident.., God forbids..! So I don't really know if i'll get nightmares out from it..

Definitely. Horror movies are just so exciting.. But I can't dare watch when I am alone. Dreaming about them are the worst. You get to feel the terror. I experienced it once. And when I woke up, my heart beats real fast. I find it difficult to go back to sleep.

A lot! I hate having nightmares because I'd get paranoid about going back to sleep. Funny you should post this, just last night, we watched Nightmare On Elm Street. It was sick how Freddie can kill you in your sleep. He only kills people when they're asleep because he attacks them in their dreams so the victims tried their best to stay awake and they fail miserably because it's impossible to stay awake forever. When I slept, I dreamed of Freddie but he didn't attack me or anything. I was probably really engrossed in the movie that I was able to dream of him.
