it seems like everybody is in such a hurry nowadays...at the store at work especially people driving.
Yesterday I was trying to cross the street and the Lady made a right hand turn without ever looking out for pedestrians. I knew she wasn't gonna look so I didn't even try to cross in front of her. Then when I got half way across the street the Lady there was waiting for me to get across and the guy behind her was tooting his horn at her for doing what she's supposed to do. It was an old guy that was in a hurry to go where?.
It's just crazy ...people are jay walking across the street instead of walking 20 feet to the light risking a big fine just so they can get across the street faster.
OK, now I feel better. Is your live fast or slow paste?

Hey missy! It is the same way where I live! It doesn't matter
where we try to cross the street the people driving the cars
think that they always have the right away! They don't care
that those of us on foot need to cross the street and they
need to slow down, pay attention and stop! I have almost been
hit too many times and a few were way too close calls! And it
upsets me more when the weather is rainy or really cold and
the people in the cars are nice and warm and dry and they can't
even feel badly for those of us who are trying to get across
a street to a shelter or to a bus to get out of the lousy
weather! I'm sure they wouldn't like it if they had to be outside
with us!

And don't forget about the drivers that like to splash people standing at the bus stop or waiting for the light to change . People just haul assss down the road when it's raining it always scares me when I have to wait for the bus.

People are in WAY too much of a hurry. If I'm crossing a street, and somebody's turning right, I don't walk in front of them unless I have eye contact!
I like the ones who drive like crazy people, passing and weaving in and out, and then they end up stuck at the same traffic light as all the people they passed.

I guess I have an inbetween life where some days are faster than others. I hate it when I am out and people make a scene because they are in a hurry. Makes me think that wherever they are going, it must be life changing. I have noticed that people tend to be in a hurry more and more but I don't live in a big city so I don't see it as much. When I went to California and Las Vegas...it did seem like things were a bit more hurried. Take care.

They don't have time to wait for the next one, they rather take the chance on getting stuck on the elevator cause too many people.

I fully agree that every one is in a hurry. Instead of blaming individuals let us go into the root of the problem. Was it so in earlier days? No. Then Why now?Is any one person or group responsible for this development.Certainly not.In the present discussion only hurry and resultant consequences in traffic is raised. In reality it is not confined to traffic alone. In every of walk it is there. Consider the atmosphere in a house in the morning hours. The children are in a hurry to go to school. The husband is in a hurry to go office.Consequently the wife is also in a hurry preparing children for school and preparing breakfast or lunch box for kids and husband.Do the take breakfast in leisure. No. Therefore it has become a vicious circle.Next question is whether there remedy for this panic situation. Apparently no. But I feel that people can be gradually educated the hazards of hurry in traffic and similarly the effects on health for the situation in the house. It is easily said but no so easy to do. In this connection I remember joke. After seeing the traffic in India one foreigner remarked " Now I understand why Indians believe in GOD".

That's too funny, and you're right. I don't have any children but I'm sure it gets very hectic in the morning for families with kids.
Hurry up and wash up, hurry and get dressed, hurry to eat breakfast , hurry up the bus is coming.

I guess that's why some people prefer the small towns and country living.

I hate, not dislike, but hate people with a pure passion who are in a hurry on the road. Years ago, I was crossing the streets in an intersection. Then there was a girl who made a turn really fast and hit me on the backbone tail. i was already half on my way! how could she miss me? My shoe went flying 5 meters away from me. I was glued on the ground and couldn't get up. If my boyfriend wasn't there to pull me, i would be on a weelchair today. What is it that you get from gaining 4-5 minutes with a risk of ending someone's life? What's the gain here on ending your own life as a driver? In some situation, you have to go fast but slow is also wise in some situation. Safety is teh first priority.

Well hi there missy bear
As long as i live in Bucharest, a city more clogged with cars then London and with worse driver attitude, you can only imagine that things are also in a hurry here.
Sometimes i think we just have to stop and smell the roses, but so few of us get to do this anymore - be it because of lack of time, be it because we forget to.
I see so many people ho cross on the red at the intersection - old people, moms with babies, many (over 60%) don't wait for the green light and this is really sad.
I get annoyed by drivers that horn me when i cross normally at the cross sign... for instance.

Hi,
Do you believe that TIME IS MONEY?
I do believe in it. When I was in Singapore for my study and
work...everyone seems in rush and even the train is moving so fast
everyday.
Time flies so fast and everyone is rushing for something.
Some people are rushing to work, some are rushing for school and
some people don't rush to where.
For me, Of course, I have to rush to work..earn money to support myself.
I guess my life is moving fast when I was in Singapore.
But now, I have settle down in another city and my life started to
slow down.Maybe because I am not working now...a fulltime housewife and
I am glad that MyLot has helped me to kill my time and Of course, I can
earn some bucks for myself too.
I do hope one day, I can go back to the work life and earn some fixed income
for myself.

Sounds like New York...every time I see a program about New York City everybody is in a hurry. I like the city and I like to do things all the time but why try to kill people by running them over cause you're in such a hurry?
Enjoy being home for a while before you have to get back to work
